🛑 Stop selling too early. Stop holding forever.
Set Take Profit to get paid, then let trailing try to squeeze extra upside:
🟢Pick a TP that fits your plan (example: +10%).
🟢Turn on Trailing TP.
🟢Use a tight deviation so you don’t give back much (keep it lower than your TP; example: -2%).
What happens:
🟢TTP only starts after price hits your TP.
🟢If price keeps running, TTP keeps tracking new highs.
🟢When price pulls back by your deviation (2% from the peak), it closes the trade.
Know what order you’ll get:
🟢In DCA bots, Trailing TP closes with a market order (more slippage risk, but it exits fast).
🟢In SmartTrade, you can choose how your TP executes and use trailing to manage exits.

3Commas in One Post
3Commas helps you execute your trading strategy on your exchange. You set the rules, and 3Commas places and manages orders based on those rules.

This also means 3Commas does not pick coins for you, it does not guarantee profit, and it does not remove market risk.

↩️ Here’s the usual story:
You start a bot.
It opens a trade.
Days pass. The deal is still open.
So it looks broken.
But in 3Commas, a deal stays open until your close rules are met. No rule met = no close.
What’s really happening in most cases:
1. Price hasn’t hit your Take Profit
Your bot can’t close early. It waits.
2. Trailing Take Profit is ON
Price touches TP, but the bot waits for the trailing logic to finish before closing.
3. A close signal happened, but Minimum profit blocked it
The bot got the “close” trigger, but your Minimum profit setting said, “Not yet.”
Most “stuck deals” aren’t actually stuck. They’re just doing their job.

In 3Commas, an Active Trading Account is an exchange API key connected to 3Commas that you use to trade (bots, SmartTrades, Terminal).
How to count:
🟢If you use separate API keys on the same exchange (for example, one for Spot and one for Futures), each key you actively trade with can count as a separate Active Trading Account.

Michael Burry (you might know him from The Big Short, where he was played by Christian Bale), the investor who famously warned about the 2008 housing crash, is sounding the alarm again.

Bot = your strategy + settings.
Deal = one live trade the bot is running right now.
Quick cheat sheet:
• Base order: the first order that starts the deal
• Averaging orders: extra orders if price moves against you
• Take profit: closes the deal when you hit your target
• Stop loss: closes the deal to limit losses (if you turn it on)

🔍 Backtesting helps you spot problems before you go live
Before you add funds, run a backtest and make sure you know:
🟢Max drawdown, not just total profit
🟢How long trades stay open
🟢How often averaging orders fill
If the numbers don’t match your risk level, adjust your settings and test again before turning the bot on.

In a drop, your bot will:
• Fill the base order
• Add averaging orders at your steps
• Keep targeting take profit
For a safer start, set limits:
