1 ለቀባሁት፣ ቀኝ እጁን ለያዝሁት፣
ነገሥታትን ትጥቅ አስፈታ ዘንድ፣
ሕዝብን ሁሉ ላስገዛለት፣
ደጆች እንዳይዘጉ፣
በሮቹን በፊቱ ለምከፍትለት፣
ለቂሮስ እግዚአብሔር እንዲህ ይላል፤
2 ‘በፊትህ እሄዳለሁ፤
ተራሮችን እደለድላለሁ፤
የናስ በሮችን እሰብራለሁ፤
የብረት መወርወሪያዎችንም እቈርጣለሁ።
3 በስምህ የምጠራህ የእስራኤል አምላክ፣
እኔ እግዚአብሔር መሆኔን ታውቅ ዘንድ፣
በተሰወረ ስፍራ የተከማቸውን ሀብት፣
በጨለማም ያለውን ንብረት እሰጥሃለሁ።
| 2 | In spite of all the news that is on the wind about wars, terror, violence, killings, chaos of different sorts etc., He that is within us and the power that He has given to the church is far greater. THIS power does not let us lose heart and reminds us today why we are not to wallow in fear or doubt at such a time. THIS power, that is at work within us, causes us to rise in boldness to uproot what the enemy seeded and to build and plant forth what God sees. THIS power is what causes us to come down on our knees once again because we know that the answer lies with Him despite the inexpressible pain that we sustain. For THIS power is sufficient enough to redeem and restore, to heal and to renew all that has been defaced. For we believe HIS power is GREATER indeed than anything we’ve faced or even come to in days ahead.
Glory be to His wondrous might that is at work within us and through us in the world.
MAY you experience yet the greatness of HIS POWER for you!
On a final note, I’d like to share with you Scripture that really warmed my heart recently. The Lord spoke these words over Cyrus, who was appointed by God to rebuild the temple of Jerusalem after the exile. As ones appointed by Him for His purposes also today in what seems like a season of “exile”, His word holds a sure promise to us as well. As you meditate on these words, may you remember the Great One who is with you, who holds your right hand, and who goes before you to level your paths and open doors not one can shut!

| 7 | My current read, “Rethinking Vocation: A New Vision for Calling and Work in Light of Missio Dei”, highlights the essence of biblical and missiological foundations in the Christian understanding of work, vocation, and calling. The book aims at a crucial matter that is frequently overlooked among the Protestant circle regarding the missional understanding of our vocational calling in a way that helps us to participate in God’s mission in and through our work.
A contextual approach to forwarding a theology of vocation offers a sharp emphasis on rich theological reflections on work and brings forth a missiological understanding of vocation embedded in the missio Dei. This enables the believer to push past the traditional sacred-secular divide and connect the experiences of the work place to fulfill God’s mission.
I’d be forwarding some additional points that necessitate addressing possibly soon. In the meantime, for the majority of us who are in healthcare, business, art, education, social work, etc.), an ultimate point of consideration would be how can understand and practice our vocation from a missiological point of view in away that fulfills God’s purposes in our work places. | 231 |

| 9 | “Love and the Great Commission”…. I dedicate this piece to my husband, though I do not usually write like this on this channel,…..perhaps this is the best depiction I have when I think about my marriage.
When love came, I can honestly say it had a great mission for me….for falling in love was as subtle as falling in love with the Great Commission…..I’ve always labeled our love, as love with an eternal mandate
How our love is as authentic and as passionate as fervent obedience ever goes….I said to you “I will GO!” ….. I will GO wherever love leads….I will GO, in simple obedience to the ends of the earth with you!
When love came, it was filled with power….oh let us hold it close to one other that we may become witnesses of it.
Dare I now say, “I was lost without you…” but with you now, I will go on my days discovering what it means to win a ‘lost soul’.
Chase me down the harvest, which is plenty….and let us dance to the tune of the good news…..that we’d have beautiful feet indeed!
And in the dead of the night, we count the stars, though we can’t number them all, we will make a wish on them, as each mark the peoples, tongues, and tribes, that our love will one day let us reach! | 268 |

| 18 | Where does hope really lie?
"Hope is a central need for all humanity. However, between now and 2050, the array of options for placing one’s hope will expand in dynamic ways.
Contenders for the foundation of hope beyond religion are radical political leaders, self-actualization, empowerment of the masses, critical theory, and more. However, distinct to our age, options for hope do not just include utilitarian hope from worldly ideas, but will increasingly include hope in technological advancement as a pseudo-transcendental means for healing and eternal life. ‘Where does hope lie?’ is a critical question for the world and the plausibility of the gospel message.
Is the church ready to communicate the hope of the gospel as a persuasive option beyond other traditional avenues of hope?
And perhaps most pertinently, is the church prepared to speak to the uniqueness of gospel hope when technological advancements seem to offer a competing eternal life?
Will the church be prepared to speak to the fullness of a life in Christ when the Fourth Industrial Revolution allows for a seemingly fully customizable life at every turn?
Where the world places its trust, and how it treats oppositional ideologies, is a central question in the coming decades that will shape the Great Commission."
