Since childhood, I've always loved reading. Over the years, I realized that reading doesn't just give you knowledge. It teaches you how to think, connect ideas, and express them. That habit helped me score 157 marks in the UPSC Essay paper. Now, I want to help you do the same. In Ace the Essay, we'll focus on what actually matters: • How to think before you write • How to build compelling arguments • How to use examples, stories, and quotes naturally • How to make your essay memorable for the examiner This isn't about memorizing templates. It's about learning the art of essay writing. If you're appearing for UPSC CSE Mains 2026 or preparing early for 2027, this course is for you. Course starts today at 4 PM. See you in class. The internet has made us faster at typing, but weaker at expressing. "OK." "LOL." "TYSM." Most of our conversations today happen through short messages and abbreviations. Over time, we've stopped explaining our thoughts. We've stopped writing. And then UPSC hands you an Essay paper and expects you to write 1,200–1,500 words with clarity, depth, and originality. That's where most aspirants struggle. Essay writing isn't about memorizing quotes or following a template. It's about learning how to think, connect ideas, and express yourself in a compelling way. That's exactly what we'll work on in Ace the Essay. If you're preparing for UPSC CSE Mains 2026 or building your foundation for 2027, this course will help you become a confident writer. Course starts tomorrow. See you in class. Enroll now: courses.upscprep.com

2016 South China Sea ruling: An arbitral tribunal in The Hague under UNCLOS ruled in favor of the Philippines in a 2013 case. Key points: 1. Rejected China’s “nine-dash line” historic rights claim. 2. Maritime zones must follow UNCLOS based on land features, not vague history. 3. Many reefs and rocks cannot generate full Exclusive Economic Zones. 4. China violated Philippines’ sovereign rights over fishing and resources. 5. China’s land reclamation damaged marine ecosystems. The ruling states China cannot legally claim the whole South China Sea; claims must follow international law (UNCLOS). This remains critical for global trade and Indo-Pacific security.

People often look at Essay as just another long GS answer, and I understand where that comes from. Creative writing, or any form of writing where you have to express yourself and put forward your ideas, is not easy. There are no fixed templates. A good essay comes from the way you think, observe, and connect ideas. You've already lived more than 21 years of your life. You have enough stories, experiences, and observations to write a great essay. It's not necessary that good expression comes only from reading books. The problem is that most of you don't know how to connect those experiences with the topic and put them into words. That is exactly what we're going to do in my class. It doesn't matter whether you've been an avid reader or not. It doesn't matter whether you're from a top college or a Tier-3 college. I will teach you how to think before you write, how to build compelling essays. Ace the Essay starts from 15th July. Since childhood, one thing I've always loved is reading books. If you've watched my videos, you might have noticed the bookshelf in the background. Every week, a new book gets added to it. I genuinely enjoy reading, and over the years, this habit has shaped the way I think and write. It didn't just help me create YouTube videos and Shorts that explain UPSC concepts and strategies in a more relatable way. It also helped me immensely in Essay writing. In fact, I scored 157 marks in the UPSC Essay paper, one of the highest essay scores that year. Now, I want to share everything I've learned with you, the art of essay writing. How to think before you write, how to structure your essay, how to build arguments, and how to make your essay stand out. Ace the Essay classes will start from 15th July. If you're appearing for UPSC CSE Mains 2026 or even preparing for UPSC CSE 2027, I genuinely believe this course can 10x your essay writing ability. See you in class. -Abhijeet Yadav
