Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum said she would announce on Sunday the details of the country’s response to US President Donald Trump’s decision to impose tariffs on Mexican goods. Sheinbaum said she will use Mexico City’s main square, the Zocalo, to convene supporters at noon and detail tariff and non-tariff measures, she added at a press conference. REUTERS: Some U.S. government workers with top security clearances fired in mass layoffs overseen by Elon Musk in recent weeks were not given standard exit briefings and advised on what to do if approached by foreign adversaries, four sources told Reuters. The lack of so-called "read outs" for workers with clearances dismissed by Musk's Department of Government Efficiency in February could raise security risks as they dealt with secret information on everything from managing nuclear weapons to protecting the power grid from influence by adversaries and ensuring the safety of U.S international development staffers, former security officials said. Dismissed employees with top-secret clearances are normally given a final security briefing reminding them of non-disclosure agreements they signed when they got the clearance. They would also sign forms acknowledging that disclosing any kind of classified information is illegal and turn in their laptops, said the sources who spoke on condition of anonymity. Two sources with top security clearances dismissed by DOGE, one at the Department of Energy and one former senior official at the U.S. Agency for International Development, told Reuters they were not debriefed. Another worker still at the DOE, said several of the 28 workers fired on Feb. 14 at the National Nuclear Security Administration, which oversees the nation's nuclear arsenal, had clearances and were not debriefed. NEW: The FBI has once again refused to release crucial records related to the 2016 murder of Democratic National Committee (DNC) staffer Seth Rich. Attorney Ty Clevenger, who has been battling for years to obtain these documents, reported that the FBI is stonewalling yet again, refusing to comply with his Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. On Monday, Clevenger took to X to reveal that the FBI will not be releasing Seth Rich-related records as expected on March 10th. Instead, the corrupt bureau plans to provide only a Vaughn index—a limited document listing withheld files and the reasons for their concealment. "The DOJ told me this afternoon that we will not be getting any Seth Rich records on March 10. The FBI only intends to produce a “Vaughn index,” which gives a brief description of what they are withholding and why." In February 2024, Clevenger demanded that the FBI hand over the Seth Rich documents they continue to conceal from the public. The FBI’s refusal follows a pattern of obfuscation. For years, the agency denied even possessing Seth Rich’s laptop—until Clevenger’s legal efforts forced the FBI to admit they had it all along. Yet, the agency still refuses to disclose any metadata from Seth Rich’s electronic devices. Even more damning, Clevenger has already uncovered proof that the FBI improperly withheld pages from the CrowdStrike report related to the alleged 2016 DNC hack—an event that conveniently became a political weapon against President Donald Trump. Andrés is the founder of World Central Kitchen (WCK), a non-profit organisation that provides meals in the wake of natural disasters. Via this NGO he has sent hundreds of millions of dollars to Ukraine. Andrés was also a Biden appointee to the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition, until Trump fired him. What he was doing palling around with Trump’s would be assassin is anyone’s guess. There is one further interesting nugget… Theories about Routh being a CIA operative or deep state asset continue to circulate, fuelled by his intense pro-Ukraine stance and schemes to recruit foreign fighters. Russia said on Tuesday that any normalisation of relations with the United States would require the lifting of sanctions against Moscow. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov was responding to a question about a Reuters report that said the United States is drawing up a plan to potentially give Russia sanctions relief as President Donald Trump seeks to restore ties with Moscow and stop the war in Ukraine. "It is probably too early to say anything. We have not heard any official statements, but in any case, our attitude towards sanctions is well known, we consider them illegal," Peskov said.
