Carl Higbie on DOGE Pentagon audit: “Do we really need 700,000 civilian employees at the pentagon? Probably not”
"Let's reexamine what we are spending our money on, and not how much we can spend on dumb things that don't work."

🤡 Female House Democrats are wearing PINK in protest of President Trump for his speech before Congress tonight.
Here they are, outside the Capitol accusing Trump of betraying women.
I remind you; it's been less than 24 hours since their colleagues in the Senate unanimously voted to continue letting men compete in women’s sports.

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has saved taxpayers $105 billion thus far, according to its own calculations posted on the official DOGE website.
The website, last updated March 2, 2025, now shows $105 billion saved via DOGE efforts. It notes this figure represents “a combination of asset sales, contract/lease cancellations and renegotiations, fraud and improper payment deletion, grant cancellations, interest savings, programmatic changes, regulatory savings, and workforce reductions.”
The website provides a further breakdown, showing that the $105 billion saved thus far has resulted in a savings of $652.17 per taxpayer.
DOGE provides as many receipts as it can, displaying 2,334 canceled contracts in a variety of government agencies, resulting in a savings of $8 billion. These include many DEIA contracts.

JUST IN: The Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen have been designated as a foreign terrorist organization, Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced Tuesday, fulfilling one of President Donald Trump’s first promises upon taking office.
Rubio said the U.S. "will not tolerate" any country that does business with "terrorist organizations like the Houthis."
"Today’s action taken by the State Department demonstrates the Trump Administration’s commitment to protecting our national security interests, the safety of the American people, and the security of the United States," Rubio said in the statement. "Terrorist designations play a critical role in our fight against terrorism and are an effective way to curtail support for terrorist activities."

🥴 New York Gov. Kathy Hochul now says she will be "leading the resistance" against President Donald Trump, just weeks after telling reporters the opposite.
Hochul said she would "fight back hard" during an interview with NPR’s "Morning Edition" on Monday when asked about New York City’s congestion pricing toll that the Trump administration moved to block last month.
"We offered up an olive branch, [we said] 'We'll work with you on infrastructure. Let's redo Penn Station,'" Hochul said. "Those areas were common ground. But once you draw first blood on us, we're coming back hard. And I will be leading the resistance on policies like these where you're hurting New Yorkers directly. This is our decision, not yours."
Less than two weeks ago, however, the Democratic governor told reporters just the opposite.
"I’ve been asked countless [times] ‘are you leading the resistance?’ – No, I’m governing the great state of New York," Hochul said when asked about her stance toward the Trump administration, according to the New York Post.

Scotland has once again managed to turn a private Facebook discussion into a full-blown scandal. The culprit? A midwifery student with an opinion. The crime? Expressing it.
Sara Spencer, a 30-year-old American mother of three, currently training as a midwife in Scotland, found herself swiftly suspended from her placement with NHS Fife after daring to discuss her conscientious objection to abortion in a private Facebook group among her midwifery peers.
That’s right; she didn’t stand outside a hospital with a megaphone or disrupt a lecture with an impassioned speech. She simply participated in a conversation about the very ethics that shape her profession.
After months of bureaucratic hoop-jumping, Spencer was eventually cleared of all allegations. The university concluded there was “no case to answer,” though NHS Fife initially threw a tantrum over the decision before finally conceding defeat.

JUST IN: A witness tells Rep. Mace that cartels were making money off of Biden's CBP One App:
"The CBP One App, I believe, was definitely used by the Biden Administration to allow people to come in. That was one technology that was developed out of something that it shouldn't have been used for. I think it was a workaround around Congress to allow people to enter the United States. What we've seen is that the cartels are actually using it down in Mexico and having people sign up through them to get on the app and get around being able to go through, so the cartels were actually making money off of the CBP One App."
A second witness echoed everything the first said.

NEW👀: Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass' aides were all warned about the prospect of wildfires before she jetted off to Ghana on a heavily-criticized trip.
Over a dozen of Bass' aides received an email from LA's Emergency Management Department on January 3 that warned about a 'high confidence in damaging winds and elevated fire conditions occurring next week,' per the Los Angeles Times.
But Bass was never informed about the email, and still went on the trip the next day, staying for the new Ghanaian president's inauguration and a cocktail party at the US embassy on January 7 - the same day the dystopian wildfires broke out.
Critics say new evidence of what Bass' team knew before the fires began suggest the mayor is trying to deceive voters and distract attention from the appalling failings of her own office.
City councilmember Monica Rodriguez, who supports former fire chief Crowley said: '(Bass) keeps saying, "I wouldn’t have left had I known." But her staff did know.
'This verifies that her staff was notified of the potential threat by EMD, whose responsibility it is to let us know of these potential weather events.'
A committee comprised mainly of Republicans is now fundraising for a recall election, which could see Bass fired from office.
