In a friend's comment on the above post, I would like to comment that during the Roman period, as soon as the Empire came into being, absolute degeneration began throughout the Roman world and from the moment everyone living within the borders of the Roman Empire became Roman citizens, mass migrations began near the Italian peninsula. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a new religion appeared in Greece, the religion of Mithridates (Mithridatism), which appeared in the Caucasus from Iranian and ancient Georgian tribes and this because Caucasia, Iranian and Syrian tribes came to Greece. The Greeks fled in majority to Magna Graecia and that is why I consider that the Southern Italians are the real descendants of the ancient Greeks and after so many diseases and famines the mass migration of the Slavic tribes to the Peninsula of Haemus (Balkans) began mixing the IllyroThracians with Slavs who are today the Vlachs and Albanians and in the Greek area there was not a soul. So which Greeks are we talking about? The Greeks of Asia Minor who were Hellenized during the Hellenistic period of Alexander the Great and his Successors and thus Koine Greek was created? which was essentially the Greek of the conquered (Barbarian) peoples?. Emperors of the Eastern Roman Empire brought Christianized Turkmen tribes (Cumans) to the Peloponnese to fill the population gap so that they would have manpower in times of war, and they took Slavs and sent them to the borders with the Arabs to also fill the large gap they had after so many endless wars.

"Did you see," asked the Mongol, "how our camels moved their ears in fear? How the herd of horses on the plain stood fixed in attention and how the herds of sheep and cattle lay crouched close to the ground? Did you notice that the birds did not fly, the marmots did not run and the dogs did not bark? The air trembled softly and bore from afar the music of a song which penetrated to the hearts of men, animals and birds alike. Earth and sky ceased breathing. The wind did not blow and the sun did not move. ... All living beings in fear are involuntarily thrown into prayer and waiting for their fate. So it was just now. Thus it has always been whenever the King of the World in his subterranean palace prays and searches out the destiny of all peoples on the earth." - Ferdinand Ossendowski, Beasts, Men, and Gods Nicholas Roerich, Remember & Buddha The Conqueror

The Greeks when the New Greek nation state was first created were simply uneducated shepherds living in the Hellenic area that had gone back to the Neolithic era. We also have to consider whether the Greeks of today are the same Greeks of that time. When there were works being done and there was a renaissance in Western Europe bringing back things of the ancient world, the only thing the Greeks knew was the cross and the Virgin Mary.

“Every German high school student dreamed of reviving classical Hellas after the end of Turkish despotism. But it seemed beyond doubt that the Greeks actually living there were useless for that sublime task.”

In Greece, there are countless Neoclassical mansions and instead of renovating them (restoring) and giving them life, most of the time they are demolished to create a mass of cement and lifeless flesh to inhabit them. ~Admin~
