These two things do not interact with electromagnetic waves and light. So these are completely hidden and invisible. However, they have a strong gravitational effect on objects in space, which is why their presence in space is predictable. -Dark matter attracts other objects toward it by exerting gravitational force. The amount of dark matter in each galaxy is enough to hold all the objects in the galaxy. It is responsible for the structure of the universe. -Dark energy, on the other hand, pushes objects away by repelling them through a reverse-gravitational force. It is responsible for the expansion of the universe. The dark energy within the gap of the galaxies in the universe increases the speed of expansion at a rate of 72 km/s per 3.09× 10¹⁹ km expansion between the two galaxies. That is, the universe is expanding at an accelerating speed due to this invisible dark energy! We know that black holes bend light around the event horizon. But black holes alone do not bend the light. The gravity of dark matter is so great that it can bend light around galaxies. Which effect is known as gravitational lensing. However, the true nature of dark matter and dark energy is still unknown. Many think that dark matter can be made up of some sort of ‘exotic particles’. -It is possible that our Milky Way galaxy might be living on the top of a shadow galaxy made up of dark matter without us even noticing it. Scientists have been able to create dark matter maps. The way they think dark matter is hiding. Dark matter might be holding the parallel universe.
