Hi Pilot, pls note that SSE JEROME (crane barge) will be moored at OS9 from 30 Jul to 3 Aug 2024 (24hr) for maintenance works. Keep a good lookout and navigate with caution when in the vicinity.

⚠️ There is a MOB incident this morning from a tug towing barge. Thankfully, our pilot was recovered immediately and escaped with minor scratches. Preliminary findings shows that the pilot was knocked off balance during the transfer from tug to pilot boat due to environmental factors. Reasonable pilot transfer arrangements (i.e. stanchions, ladder) were reported made at both sides of the tug. The incident is reported to MPA and follow up actions will be taken with the ship owner. We will share more when we have more details. ⚠️ To prevent this, we urge you to be conversant with our SWPs and SOPs, and stay vigilant against non-compliance. We hope you can take some time to go through the latest SWPs in our PSD Information Library, and these selected ones for your immediate attention.

IT helpdesk had informed PMA is up again. Pls check your PMA and notify DM if problem persists.

Understand some pilots are still having problem with PMA and worksheet cannot be refresh and event reporting is not working. We had already escalated to IT helpdesk. Awaiting for their response.

SAFETY BULLETIN Hi Pilots, we had MOB just now and our fellow colleague was swiftly rescued by the pilot boat. MOB is conscious and required no medical attention. Please check ur PPEs regularly and ensure the PPEs r don properly including the crotch strap. Stay safe and go home safely

Hi Pilots, in the next few days (18 to 25 Jul) , the port will experience spring tide with ebb tidal current up to 3.5kts. Pilots should: 1. Use all available means appropriate in the prevailing circumstances and conditions to make a full appraisal of the situation. 2. Heighten situational awareness to identify, process and understand the effect of strong tidal current. 3. Practice MRM 4. Provide sufficient sea room to the prevailing conditions. 5. When executing turn in stern tidal condition, to build good ROT and steady the vessel asap. 6. As practicably, proceed into the anchorage stemming the tidal current. 7. Give ample sea room when approaching tidal berth and peculiar berths such as P22. P23, P34, P35, P36, P37 and Keppel Brani Terminals. Practice defensive piloting and lookout for one another.
