...I'm aware of the irony that last cycle we held too long, so I (and others) suggested selling as early as possible this cycle, yet now we're saying "hold longer." We can only adapt to the conditions we're given. If we'd had some euphoria early this year, it would have been wise to sell, but we didn't get euphoria. The market is toying with us, seemingly pre-empting our every move... for now.

Some thoughts for consideration... Some crypto analysts (e.g. YourFriendSommi) have identified the impact of the United States ISM Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) on Alt-Season. It seems provable that a bull market for Alt-Coins only happens when PMI is above 52%. PMI is a measurement of business confidence/investment/optimism. Currently it is at 49.1%, and this is the longest period of time it has ever been below 52%, hence the long, brutal bear market. If the 4-year-cycles are still in effect, crypto prices should be peaking right about now. Maybe they are, but there's no euphoria so it certainly doesn't feel like a bull market. Whether because the 4-year-cycle model is broken, or right-translated (late), I personally still think the bull market is yet to come - some time within the next 12 months. Remember: Alt-Season typically only lasts a few months. It can come and go in the blink of an eye. I know some of my predictions and expectations have been wrong. I don't have a crystal ball and none of this is financial advice; just my own thoughts and perspectives. If this right now is the peak, it's not good enough. I'd rather hold to zero than sell now. Not only are most of our portfolios below their 2021 high, but we need to factor in the 40-50% inflation that's occurred since 2021. Of course, the market doesn't care about that, so it's up to each of us to decide what our acceptable targets are and take that risk. Another consideration is: The aforementioned PMI shows a very, very pessimistic global economy. It feels like we may finally be in that financial paradigm shift we've been warned about for decades. We can't rule this out. It may be that the specific set of conditions which facilitate an Alt-Season are not going to be met. But if that's the case, crypto will be a relatively minor concern for each of us anyway. None of you should have bet the farm on crypto. You shouldn't need this investment to succeed to live a good life. Hopefully our extreme patience is to be rewarded—I think it will be—but we must be prepared for anything.

About bloody time! Took 6 months longer than most expected (longer still if we consider how soon in the cycle Bitcoin made a new high). Now let's see if ETH can go into price-discovery and make up for the pain.

⚠️ Warning: Scammer has stolen $1 million from victims. He lures you into discord by dming you on twitter and telegram, saying he will pay you good money if you teach him how to trade for 2-3 hours. 🔴 He gets you to use Axiom, and do discord video call. He asks you to share video so you can “teach”, but he records. 🔵 And then he grabs the screen capture of when he tells you to save your password login. One guy lost $650k alone. 🇵🇱 This scammer thief scum is a Russian rat living in Poland, and there are groups set up for victims to try track him down. Do not EVER share screen or get lured by dms. Its all a scam. Every time.

Important info. It's always good to be aware of the various techniques that crypto scammers and thieves use...

No matter whether they’re lying, Qubic claims to have reached 51% dominance over Monero’s hashrate, temporarily. They claim this stunt was merely a demonstration. Whatever their motive is, if some random company might be able to achieve such numbers with their private pools, what would happen if TPTB seek to attack Monero directly with the vast resources at their disposal? Unless mining becomes widely democratized, some actor with large enough resources may be able to seize a controlling share of blockchain hashrate. Cryptocurrency, being the threat it is to the establishment, must be prepared to thwart such attacks.

BREAKING: The Evil GENIUS Act passes the Senate in a 51-23 vote. Reminder: This bill makes all StableCoins illegal unless they are issued by a State-Approved Bank. It also makes giving yield out ILLEGAL for your coin, unless it comes from the State-Sponsored Government Authority banks (like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, etc.) [Source - Sommi]

Will we get an Alt-Season? I still think so. Even if it doesn't happen until Dec/Jan it would be in-line with the 4-year cycle (with the 2021 alt-season being an abnormally early one). It could also happen a little late, cycle-theory might be broken beyond repair, or it might never happen. I'm prepared for all 3 possibilities. The reason we (and everyone) always says "don't invest what you can't afford to lose" is not so much because you could lose it all, but more because you don't know how long it will take until you start to see a sufficient return. One can invest in stocks and be confident that within 6 months they'll have made a small return. With crypto, as we now know, it can be 4-5 years! If you invest money you might need, then you'll be forced to sell during the long wait. But for the rest of us, waiting isn't a problem. Of course, we might be waiting for nothing. Bitcoin has had a bull market, and I would suggest that if it drops back down below the previous ATH of $69k, then its bull market is over, and if alt-coins haven't moved up by then, then there's no alt bull market - maybe ever, maybe not until 2029. It's then up to each of us to decide whether we want to wait more or just cut your losses. But for now, we hold strong. We've come this far - may as well go the whole hog. Imagine holding through a 3.5 year bear market only to capitulate now. The time for capitulation was last year, or the year before; not now. Only strong hands remain, surely. I give alts another 2-3 months to start an uptrend. Until that doesn't happen, I err on the side of 'bullish'. But cautiously bullish; many alts will not surpass previous highs, and even those that do may not do so by much. If we get 2021 peak prices + 30% (to account for inflation) I think we should take that with gratitude and begin to exit. Just my take on the current market - not advice.

☝🏻This is NOT what Bitcoin was made for (if you believe that Satoshi narrative). Far from it. It's nice seeing Bitcoin price go up, but be under no illusion: It's driven largely by this institutional takeover, and marks the death of Bitcoin as any kind of 'liberating' or 'revolutionary' tech. Old money has swallowed the new money.

Bitcoin used to be filled with Cypherpunks who believed in Freeom & Liberty. ❓ And now, Bitcoin Conference invites Tether CEO, operating a Blacklist Function Stablecoin, to shill to everyone. The times have changed.

"The legislation will include a cut in capital gains tax on crypto investments to 10% from the current headline 24% rate, the creation of a two-year regulatory sandbox to help the City of London innovate, and provisions making it illegal to restrict services for people who want to pay with crypto." https://archive.ph/HshI2

It is this same Coin, named Bitcoin, that people will say is going to be introduced by the US Government as a replacement for their US Dollar. And it is this exact Top 13 list, that people think, the US Government is going to peacefully hand-over the World Reigns as a Superpower. ✏️ Basically, remember this list when we're getting Euphoric, so you know to stop drinking the Kool-Aid.
