[Episode Notes of VC’s Secrets, Ep 03] Coupled with years of mentoring startups and million of dollars of investing, the V.C.S framework transfers the powerful secrets that tech startups use to effectively build, test and scale their company to SMEs in a step by step, tasks guided approach. V.C.S Framework Focusing on Validate, Problem-Solution Fit: Is the problem that your product will solve important enough for customers to want to purchase it? 1. State your Vision. 2. Define customer segment. 3. Fit within customer limitations and differentiate / be better than available solutions. 4. Solve a frequent*, urgent or costly problem by analyzing its root/cause, fit into frequent*/natural/familiar behavior which is directly or indirectly related to the underlying problem. 5. Identify triggers that work in real life, and emotions (before/after) to strengthen your communication, so that you can activate your potential customers via online and offline channels, by designing a solution that fits customer limitations, problems and existing behavior. 6. Your solution might become different over time, adjusting to an ever-changing market landscape, but your Vision should stay the same. Solving frequently-occurring problems increases touch-points with customers and helps your company to gain trust on the way to the bigger goal. This is the first step to solving a bigger problem scope that might be too broad to tackle all at once from the start. [Episode Notes of Investing & Business for Women Ep 02] Mcd vs Yum Before the idea of 'leveraging' is so openly spread to young entrepreneurs and laymen, Mcdonald's has already been capitalising on this simple but awesome strategy. Even till today, McDonald’s remain committed to growth, continuing its aggressive deployment of the three growth accelerators - EOTF (experience of the future), Delivery and Digital starting 2019. Largely being a dividend paying company for the past 45yrs with a proven track record of selling burgers for Real estate is nothing short of impressive. For steady dividends and a little slower growth, Macs is still good to have in the low to medium risk investor's portfolio but may not be ideal for the fast growth investors YUM has over 50,000 restaurants in more than 150 countries, currently 98%of its units are operated by franchisees. However, the revenue growth is rather stagnant and its debts of $11.5 billion are way bigger than its assets, so it may not be the wisest investment for now. YUMC on the other hand is the largest restaurant company in China in terms of system sales, with $8.8 billion of revenues and 9,200 restaurants as of year-end 2019. The company believes that there is significant opportunity to expand within China. However, the growth is also slowing over the years, and the valuation is currently on the high side. It may not be the best investment for growth investor. Replay link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/nlallstars/permalink/988865208217010/

[Episode Notes of One-Man Business Strategies Episode 04] These indicators are my secret of how Chris grow his business from $0 to $130,000SGD in just 3 months!! 1. Are people already discussing or asking questions about what you are providing? Ask yourself, would you buy something that you don’t care about? When people are discussing or asking questions about a particular thing, it almost always means that this is something people really care about. And when people care, people tend to buy😃 2. Are they passionate about this? Passionate people are irrational people. They buy it just because they love it, not because they need it. And as we all know, people don’t buy based on logic, they buy because of emotion. So how do we know people are passionate about this? There are 3 things you can look into - Do people form a group by themselves talking about this? - Unique Vocabulary that they use - Do they self initiate events around this? Watch the video to see a live demonstration! 3. Willingness and Power to pay: To make people pay you, they need to be willing to pay, and have the power to pay. If your product or marketing angle lacks any one of these criteria, you need to reconsider who is your target audience.
