Everyone in your life will be there for a season. Some will be there longer than others but at the end of the day you only have yourself.

To someone who’s currently dealing with the torment of losing someone permanently, this is to remind you that you don’t have to bottle up your grief. You can cry, you can lose control over your emotions, you can take your time to whisper your final goodbye. You can understand that what happened has a purpose and still feel bad about it. It’s okay to wish you had more time, to think of all the things you want to say and those you never said, to hope they’d visit you in your dreams to at least assure you that they’re okay. It’s okay to grieve for people you know won’t ever come back. It’s okay to be not ready to let them go.
All feelings that weigh your heart down right now—the guilt, the regret, the what ifs and maybes—those aren’t to tell you that you’re at fault. You feel that sad because you were that happy with them. You feel that much pain because you love them that much.
And I tell you, they know it.

Find someone who listens,
Find someone who cares,
Find someone who makes efforts,
Find someone who can say sorry,
Find someone who holds you when you’re down,
Find someone who shares their day with you,
Find someone who finds you beautiful all the time,
Find someone who doesn’t change after your stupid fights,
Find someone who calls you just to say I love you,
Because life isn’t about money, looks or fancy places, it’s all about the person you are with, who makes life worth living. So please, find someone worth fighting for.
