American Airlines Flight AA618, operating from Dallas/Fort Worth to Newark on 3 September 2026, diverted to Baltimore/Washington International Airport after a disruptive passenger incident onboard. The individual became aggressive, assaulted other passengers, and was restrained ināflight using zipātie restraints and tape until landing. The aircraft landed safely at BWI, where law enforcement removed and arrested the passenger before the flight continued to its destination.

A Prime Air Boeing 767ā300F operating as flight 7598 overran Runway 30 at Miami International Airport after arriving from San Juan. The freighter left the paved surface at high speed, struck several airfield vehicles and burst into flames, sending a large column of smoke over the airport. Emergency crews responded within minutes, but the impact and fire caused multiple fatalities and several serious injuries.

The USS Abraham Lincoln arrived in Thailand after more than 270 days at sea, carrying visible signs of prolonged deployment, weathered hull markings, faded deckāsurface decals, and corrosion streaking along the structure. The carrier had spent many months underway without a full port call, conducting multiple operations at sea. Its arrival at Laem Chabang brought more than 5,000 personnel ashore and Thai authorities has implemented heightened security measures around Pattaya, while naval officials noted that the vessel would undergo routine checks and replenishment before continuing its operational schedule.

IndiGo flight 6E 225, an Airbus A321ā251NX registered VTāNOG, struck a Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS) pole while being positioned at stand 06 at Srinagar International Airport on 4th September. IndiGo stated that the aircraft ācame in contact with a parking stand pole during parking,ā adding that all customers and crew were safe and had deplaned. The airline said relevant authorities were informed immediately and an investigation is underway.

Two people were killed when a gyrocopter flying over the Campliccioli dam area in upper Valle Antrona struck the overhead service cables used for the local cableācar system. The aircraft ignited on impact and fell near the lakeside at roughly 1,350 metres altitude, in a narrow alpine valley close to the OssolaāSwitzerland border. Rescue efforts were immediate, with helicopters from 118 Borgosesia and the Malpensa fire brigade, along with ground teams from the Vigili del Fuoco, law enforcement and alpine rescue units, but both occupants were found dead at the scene.

Beond Airbus A321 flight BYD5437, operating out of Maleā, returned immediately after departure reportedly due to unreliable airspeed indications encountered during the initial climb. The crew discontinued the flight and executed a prompt return back to Velana International Airport. This flight was the aircraft first departure from the Maldives following its nearly two month downtime in Colombo.
