Missing Women
✅ One in three girls missing globally due to sex selection (both pre-and post-natal), is from India
✅ 46 million of the total 142 million missing girls.
✅The latest study by Pew Research Centre has pointed out that “son bias” is on a decline in India and the average annual number of baby girls “missing” in India fell from about 480,000 (4.8 lakh) in
2010 to 410,000 (4.1 lakh) in 2019.
✅The “missing” here refers to how many more female births would have occurred during this time if there were no female-selective abortions.

चुनाव आयोग ने आज हिमाचल प्रदेश की चुनावी तिथियों का एलान कर दिया। एक चरण में होने वाले चुनाव के लिए 17 अक्तूबर को अधिसूचना जारी होगी और 12 नवंबर को वोटिंग होगी। मतगणना 08 दिसंबर को होगी। आयोग ने अभी गुजरात चुनाव के लिए कुछ भी एलान नहीं किया है। बताया जा रहा है कि दिपावली के बाद गुजरात चुनाव की तिथियों की घोषणा होगी। पिछली बार नौ नवंबर को हिमाचल में चुनाव हुए थे, जबकि 18 दिसंबर को मतगणना हुई थी।
