πABOUT THE GLOBAL SOUTHπ

The term βGlobal Southβ began by loosely referring to those countries that were left out of the industrialisation era or developing countries.

It broadly comprises countries ofΒ Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia & Oceania.
β
Many countries in Global South are in northern hemisphere, such as India, China and all of those in the northern half of Africa.
β
Australia & New Zealand, both in southern hemisphere, are not in Global South.
