| 2 | I met him when I was in Mauritania. I rode on a very crowded back of a Hilux, crowded with baggage, humans and livestock, hanging on the the edge of the truck for dear life the whole way, which was a few hours on the road, after which, we were dropped off and had to walk another few hours off road to get to Taysīr, his Maḥḍarah (Madrasah village).
Taysīr was one of the best organized and laid out Maḥāḍir in all of Mauritania. There were students there from every corner of the world. They were well taken care of.
The Shaykh graciously gave us from his time and was a man of immense knowledge and regal aura, profuse with the fragrance of the kind of ironic humility that can only come from someone who is the best of the best and possessed of good character.
He was a descendant of the clan of the prolific Mauritanian scholar Muḥammad Mawlūd, who composed a number of works in verse, the most well-known of which in the West is the Maṭharat al-Qulūb, popularized by Ḥamza Yūsuf by his lecture series, Purification of the Heart. But his legacy includes the Kafāf al-Mubtadī, a versified compendium on Mālikī Fiqh which is famed for containing many issues absent even from Khalīl, and other short works on spirituality & Adab, like the Maḥārim al-Lisān and Birr al-Walidayn.
The recently passed Shaykh was the living master of the works of his illustrious grand uncle, and had prepared print editions with copious notes and commentary, preserving the works and making them accessible to new generations and millions hitherto unfamiliar with them.
He was like a diligent father to his students, a great Shaykh of the Ṭarīqah & a living proof of the benefit of the institution and a man who commanded the respect of every man who commanded respect in Mauritanian society, one of last bastions of the supreme exaltation of knowledge of our civilization.
May Allāh Ta'ālā immerse him in His mercy and make the outpouring of Divine grace, the Fayḍ, through his life's efforts flow for all the rest of the days of this world. | 749 |

| 6 | Mukhtaṣar Bukhārī Ibn Abī Jamrah: Taxes & Personal Relations With Others
We make a Du'ā request for Abū Ṣādiq's health, for Allāh's mercy on sister Aisha Shaheen of Rockford who passed suddenly, and remind everyone that next week we will not have a lesson next week, as I will be at the Knowman Learning Retreat in Ohio next weekend (I highly recommend it: register at ).
This week we talk about the much maligned concept of Jizyah; a Sharī'ah mandated poll tax for the non-Muslim citizens of a sovereign Muslim theocracy and examine what the institutional and bureaucratic consequences of such a system where and how people benefited from it then as well as some issues that people may have with the system, notably in the Indic and Orthodox Christian cultural spheres.
We also examine what the prophetic teachings are regarding keeping familial relations with non-Muslim subjects of the state.
It was followed by a question regarding the theory of the punishment of apostasy, as well as a very practical consideration regarding the applicability of such laws in the United States, and an exploration of the different levels of mandate to implement Sharī'ah, given that it is such a unnecessarily sensationalized hot topic in the United States and social media currently.

The seizure of property in war is a universal practice. The US itself has, in recent memory, taken hundreds of millions if not more from Iraq, Syria and most recently, Venezuela.
The difference with the sacred law of Islam is not in the prosecution of war or the taking of spoils, but in the fact that there are legal restrictions and strictures placed on that process, in a world where no one else respects such boundaries, and might makes right.

The fact of the matter is foot washing stations are there to be used for people of all faiths, and generally are an accommodation for the public, a portion of whom do not like seeing someone washing their feet in the sink.
I don't mind washing my feet in the sink, and my feet are actually cleaner than most people's faces, so I don't really see why they should mind. Whenever somebody objects to it, I ask them which of their uncles owns the airport, that they feel so comfortable telling me what to do.
But that's fine, if you want to, on a point of equality, ban the foot washing stations, go ahead and ban them.
But don't pretend like this is about equality.
I'm not even asking for Muslims to have equal accommodation, given that they are a very small percentage of the population, in the lower single digits. Even though Jews have probably less population than us, and get more accommodation, I'm happy to allow our place in society to evolve organically and not be forced by the law or overbearing institutions.
But this brings up another topic of discussion: Zionist financed anti-muslim propaganda has demonized the word Dhimmī in the last 25 years.
As the word in Arabic implies, a Dhimmī is a protected religious minority within the context of a theocratic Sunnī polity. Zionists, and their fake-Christian pawns try to make it out like some sort of civil rights, move to the back of the bus arrangement. But the fact of the matter is it was a per head poll-tax, a kind of tax that would make Grover Norquist salivate, which exempted them from Zakāt liability, general Sharī'ah obligations, financial, personal, familial, and ritual, as well as military service, while protecting their institutions and granting them authority: for all of the railing against imaginary Sharī'ah courts that blow-hards like Chip Roy obsess over, it's funny to recall that Sunnī theocratic rule, actually sponsored such institutions for its Jewish and Christian citizens.
Coming back to cancelled foot washing stations, menorahs and Christmas trees, here we are, exempted from a grand total of zero taxes, afforded absolutely no autonomy in our religious practices amongst ourselves, signed up for the selective services draft, yet still somehow or another we're the problem?
If you don't like Islām as a personal choice, that's your prerogative, given to you by God through the free will you were granted, which will be followed by judgment one day soon. I disagree with you, and out of love for you, urge you to reconsider, but I'm also happy to discuss it with you and give you space in order to think and talk about it and make your own decision.
But if you're going to act like somehow Islam is this totalitarian menace that's here to take you over, I remind you they're actually is a real ethnocentric, apartheid totalitarian menace that has already taken over our country, which is spamming your timeline with AI (goy)slop, and it's going to end up screwing everything up, for Muslim, Jew, and Christian alike.
And whether or not Muslims wash their feet in the sink, or in a foot washing station, matter how strongly you feel about the issue, its repercussions are going to be just a drop in the ocean when compared to the billions of dollars spent in the political campaigns against people like Thomas Massey, Mom-donny and Abdoool. And they will be even less important one compared to the billions of dollars spent on killing the children of Gaza, bombing the school girls of Iran (the regime of which I despise), and the bombs that were rained on the heads of the children of Iraq and Afghanistan.
