This day 2 years ago our founder, Cambel appeared at court for the first time in his life for the 'crime' of jamming outside in a park in the afternoon as a form of protest and for mental health improvement. 🙏 As it happened... UK COURT RULES MUSIC AS A FORM OF PROTEST IS ILLEGAL? https://youtu.be/BifzCYWL4hA The court reduced the 10k fine but we will fight to overturn this. Not only is it a travesty of justice but it means our founder Cambel will be left with a criminal record for simply bringing live music to help with peoples mental health and protest against tyranny. Since December 2020 Jam for Freedom has brought free live music to 6 countries across 3 continents and its needed more than ever! The UK government are now prosecuting us! All donations will be used to challenge this ruling, to continue our free touring groups across the world, record new songs (always free to download), free workshops and classes for children and all ages. All donors will be sent a link to claim free membership and sent regular newsletters on collaborations and upcoming shows, new songs, CD compilations, gifts and more. MONDAY: Surviving the Antidepressant Epidemic Join Dr Tess Lawrie and Linda Rae on the 25th of September at 6pm UTC as they discuss the increase in antidepressant use and their long-term withdrawal effects with our Better Way Live guests Dr Ali Ajaz and Dr David Healey. Dr David Healy is a scientist, psychopharmacologist, and Professor of Psychiatry. He has authored more than 220 peer-reviewed articles, 300 other pieces, and 25 books, including Pharmageddon and his most recent book Shipwreck of the Singular – Healthcare’s Castaways. Dr Healy is also founder and CEO of Data Based Medicine Limited, which operates through its website RxISK.org, dedicated to making medicines safer through online direct patient reporting of drug side effects. Dr Ali Ajaz is a Consultant Psychiatrist and an academic with a specialist interest in medical education and research. He graduated from Guy’s, King’s & St Thomas School of Medicine and trained in East London in the field of forensic mental health. He worked in the NHS for 17 years, before starting his own clinical practice in Canary Wharf, London. Dr Ajaz uses a functional health approach to finding mental health solutions for his patients, with a particular focus on identifying and treating root causes. He is co-chair of the Doctors for Patients UK group, that provides free CPD meetings for UK doctors focusing on patient-centred and ethical medicine.
