If a woman is divorced from a righteous man it is an adversity, but she asks her Lord to compensate her with good. Allah the Exalted said: وإِن يَتَفَرَّقَا يُغْنِ إللَّه كُلًّ مِّن سَعَتِهِ ﴿ ١٣٠ ﴾ But if they separate (by divorce), Allah will provide abundance for every one of them from His Bounty. (Soorah An-Nisā' 4:130) Conversely, if an evil husband divorces her, or if she is divorced from a husband who harms her then this is a blessing from Allah. It is not a calamity rather it is a blessing from Allah. Should a Woman Cover her Feet when She Prays? | ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Shaykh al-Albaani (Rahimahullaah) Answer : “It is not permissible for her to pray with her feet uncovered, indeed it is not permissible for her to walk in the streets with her feet uncovered because the feet are part of a woman’s `awrah based on Allaah’s Azzawajals Statement: “And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment.” [Surat un-Noor 24:31] The woman during the Days of Ignorance used to wear what is known in the Arabic language as khalkhaal (anklet), meaning a bracelet with small bells. So, when the woman walked, she – in order to turn the men’s attention to her – would strike the ground with her feet so the anklet would make a noise and the men would hear that; and such was due to shaitaan’s whisperings to her. This means that the feet used to be covered. Because of what? Because of the jilbaab that the women were commanded to cast down from over their heads, according to Allaah’s Statement: “O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their outer garments (jilbaabs) close upon themselves.” [Surat ul-Ahzaab 33:59] And it is mentioned in the authentic hadeeth that the Prophet ﷺ said one day during a gathering in which there were also women: “Whoever drags his garment out of pride, Allaah Azzawajal will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection.’ One of the women said: ‘O Messenger of Allaah, then our feet will be exposed.’ He ﷺ said: ‘let the women lengthen (their garments) by a hand-span.’ She said: ‘Then a wind will come and uncover (their feet).’ He ﷺ said: ‘let them add another hand-span, i.e. (a total of) one cubit, and not go beyond that.’” [the Shaikh mentioned the general meaning, not the exact wording, of the woman’s speech] [Saheeh at-Tirmidhi 1731, Saheeh Abi Daawood 4119] In this manner, the jilbaab of the Muslim woman – at the time of the revelation of the above-mentioned verse: “To draw their outer garments (jilbaabs) close upon themselves” – used to cover the feet since the socks that are widespread nowadays among both women and men were not widespread at that time. The woman used to cover her shins and feet with the long jilbaab that resembles the ‘abaa.ah. Shaykh Ubayd: This is not correct. This is blending between Sunnah and Bidah. I do not know of any basis for this in the Book or the Sunnah, or from the statements of any Imaam from the Imaams of knowledge, faith, and religion; at all. Then, if what is intended by recitation is Ruqyah; this Ruqyah is if the woman finds unbearable pain and fears difficulty then there is nothing wrong with performing Ruqyah upon her stomach, not upon the fetus. The Ruqyah is performed on her stomach not the fetus. For example the one performing the Ruqyah recites Ayatul Kursi, and the last verses of Soorah Al Baqarah, and Soorah Al Iklaas, and Soorah Al Falaq and Soorah An Nas, and then the person performing the Ruqyah wipes their hand on her stomach. They say: ‘I seek refuge in the Perfect Words of Allah from the evil He created.’ Or they say: ‘In the Name of Allah’ three times. And after that they say: ‘I seek refuge for him/her with Allah and His Power from the evil I find and fear’; seven times. This has been authentically narrated from the Prophet SallallahuAlaihi waSallam. So let not the questioner or any Muslim be deceived by the likes of this. Eating watermelon 🍉 and dates ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Hadeeth: [To Eat Melon With Fresh Dates Is a Sunnah of The Prophet] – With Short Commentary By Shaikh Zaid Bin Haadi [rahimahullaah] Aaisha [radiyallahu anhaa] said, “Allaah’s Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] used to   eat melon with fresh dates, and then said, ‘We remove the heat of this one [i.e. dates] with the coldness of this one [i.e. watermelon], and [we remove] the coldness of this one [i.e. watermelon] with the heat of this one [i.e. dates]’”. This hadeeth contains an objective with regards to describing the good qualities [of something], because indeed the Prophet [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] only speaks based on revelation from Allaah. He was taught by his Lord about the specific qualities of these two types of foods, so he combined them when eating due to the reason mentioned,  which is, “We remove the heat of this one [i.e. dates] with the coldness of this one [i.e. melon], and [we remove] the coldness of this one [i.e. melon] with the heat of this one [i.e. dates]”. And to follow this example of the Prophet [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] – after a person learns about it – is a Sunnah in relation to the likes of these affairs; so, he acts as the Prophet [sallal laahu alayhi Wasallam] did. And we know the person who is a created being does not possess in his hand any choice in the matter. Thus how can we find him repulsive? Thus a white man—and this occurs amongst the disbelievers—will deem a black man to be repulsive; his appearance, his statue, his nose, his lips and the like. And in contrast perhaps you will find a black man, who deems a white man to be repulsive, declaring him to be a leper; while he is not a leper but rather he is extremely white. Whether it is the white man laughing at and mocking the black man, or the black man laughing at and mocking the white man; in reality the ridicule shifts from them to the One who created them and created their appearance. And this is indicated in the statement of the Prophet peace be upon him: ❝Do not insult the time, for it is Allah Who is the time❞ Why do we not insult the time? Because Allah is the One who arranges the time, so if you insulted the time, what is this time? Does the time do as it wants? Or is it designed without having a choice? According to the believer it is decided and planned without having a choice. Decided by whom? It is decided by the Creator who does as He wills, the One who does what He intends. Thus when you insult the time, this insult returns to the Creator of the time. For this reason the Prophet peace be upon him said: Do not insult the time, for it is Allah who is the time; meaning the Creator of time. This is exactly like what comes in the authentic narration: ❝Verily it is from the greatest of sins for a man to insult his father. They said: And how does a man insult his father? He replied: He insults the father of another man who in turn insults his father.❞ This means it is from the greatest of sins for a Muslim man to be the reason that his father is insulted. It is from the greatest of sins for a Muslim to be the reason his father is insulted. Is it not from the greatest of sins for a Muslim to be the cause of Allah being insulted? Yes, this is even more so the case. Thus it is not permissible for us to deem anything from Allah’s creation to be repulsive; because He created it with His will and choice. As Allah the Blessed and Exalted said in the Quran: ❝And your Lord creates whatsoever He wills and chooses❞ (Soorah Al Al-Qasas 28:68) The creation does not have a choice. Allah is free from the partners they associate with Him.
