Negative People Can be Detrimental to Your Health | Shaykh Abdur Razzaq al-Badr ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Shaykh Abdur Razzaq al-Badr: Many people don’t have an actual real illness; rather they only have delusions of illness which they magnify. They may also be tested with people who grow these delusions within them and they accept it. When some people encounter their brothers they are not successful in increasing their morale and happiness. Some of them encounter their brothers and they are the reason his suffering and misery is amplified. This is a problem in a number of people. They are not productive in saying something positive. They will see one of their brothers who looks a little tired and they will yell out ‘O so and so, what happen to you! Your face looks terrible!’ Thus he will become sick from the person’s speech and tired from his words. He will believe something is wrong with him based upon this person’s statement. Some individuals are not suitable to talk to sick people; they are not even suitable to speak with their sick relatives. Their foolish words only increase suffering. An example comes to mind of one such person. A man went to the hospital to visit some people while they were with their sick father who was in the hospital with an illness. When he wanted to leave and say goodbye to the relatives of the sick man, he said to them: “Don’t be like so and so, their father died and they didn’t even tell us.” This type of person is not suitable to speak. This is foolishness. Some people only magnify the delusion within the individual. The point is, the people must not submit to delusion. Sometimes there is nothing wrong with them at all, no sickness and no suffering; but rather he has delusion. He feels as though he is sick, but it is all just fear. It’s not befitting for the Muslim to have this defeatist’s mentality. These fears and delusions are what will cause his suffering. BABY SHOWERS: PERMISSIBLE OR NOT? Shaykh Abdul-Qaadir Al-Junayd Questioner: As-Salaamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullaah, Yaa Shaykh. Shaykh: Wa Alaykum As-Salaam wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatuh; Questioner: How are you, Shaykh? Shaykh: Hayaakumullaah. Questioner: Hayakumullaah. Shaykh, I asked you a question yesterday, about an issue… Shaykh: You asked me what? Questioner: I asked you a question yesterday about an issue, however, I wish to repeat the question for clarity. Shaykh: Go ahead. Questioner: The intent behind the question is as follows: What is the ruling regarding the events that are held wherein gifts are given to the parents on the occasion of a new child; it is the event which is held when the mother is within her 7th or 8th month of pregnancy wherein she invites the sisters, and they buy clothes for the new baby. This is something, O Shaykh, which is known within this land to be from the disbelievers. So is it permissible for the Muslim woman or no? Shaykh: My brother, may Allaah bless you, a known custom within the lands of the Muslims is that when the woman gives birth to a daughter or son, then the people visit her to congratulate her and supplicate for this baby; and they bring some gifts with them. the women gather within the house for what occasion? (It is) the occasion of this new baby. They bring with them some food, gifts, and the like. This is known with the lands of the Muslims. Is that which is with you done in this manner? Questioner: No, Shaykh. Shaykh: Or is it as you mentioned, they gather a month or two months before the birth? Questioner: Yes, like this, Shaykh. Here in America they do it when the mother is in her 7th or 8th month of pregnancy. Shaykh: Na’am. This manner (of doing it) who was the first ones to do it? Questioner: I didn’t hear you, Shaykh. Shaykh: This manner, of doing it a month or two before (the birth); where did it come from? Questioner: From the disbelievers in this land. Shaykh: All of them (the disbelievers) do it in this manner? Questioner: Ay Na’am. Shaykh: Then if the manner is like this, then it is not permissible for the Muslim to do it because it is from the perspective of imitation (of the disbelievers). If the Muslims do it in this manner; before the birth by a two months whereas this is the custom of the disbelievers, then it is not permissible for the Muslims to do it. As for celebrating after the birth; and giving gifts for the child, then this is known amongst the Muslims as well as the non-Muslims. Clear? Questioner: Clear, O Shaykh, may Allaah bless you. May Allaah reward you. Shaykh: And you as well. Questioner: As-Salaamu Alaykum. Shaykh: Hayaakumullaah. One Intention for the Whole Month? ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Question: Does every day on which the fast is performed in Ramadan require an intention, or is it sufficient to make one intention for the whole month? Answer: It is sufficient in Ramadan to make one intention at the beginning of it, because even if the fasting person did not make an intention for every day the night before, that was has intention at the start of the month. But if the fasting is broken during the month due to a journey, or illness or the like, he must make the fresh intention, because he has broken it by abandoning the fast due to travel, illness or the like. Can a menstuating woman wash a deceased person? ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Is it permissible for a woman to wash and shroud a deceased person whilst she is on her menses? Answer: It is permissible for a menstruating woman to wash deceased women and shroud them. And from the men she can only wash her (dead) husband. Menstruation is not considered a prohibition from washing a dead person for burial. And to Allaah belongs all (bestowal of guidance and ability to perform good deeds). 📚【 بهجة القلوب : ١٥٣-١٥٤ 】 •┈┈••••○○❁🌷❁○○••••┈┈• Observing Your Wife’s Beautiful Manners ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ ✍️ The Noble Scholar Ibn Sa’adi [رحمه الله] said ❝When a husband reflects over his wife’s beautiful manners and good qualities that he loves about her, and then compares these qualities to those reasons which causes him anger and irritation, perhaps there is some negativity he sees whilst living with her, but it could be that he is focussing on just one or two [negative] things, yet, in reality, those qualities that he loves in her are much greater. Therefore, if the husband was just, then he would overlook her bad points which actually disappear and vanish due to her goodness. In this way companionship continues. As for turning away from good qualities, and only observing shortcomings – even if they are very few – then this is from being unjust, and the husband can hardly be settled with his wife.❞ 📚[Bahjat Al-Qaloob, (Page: 153-154) | Translated By Abbas Abu Yahya Miraath al-Anbiyya] ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ https://t.me/thebeginningoftruth

O you who believe! Enter not the Prophet’s houses, except when leave is given to you for a meal, (and then) not (so early as) to wait for its preparation. But when you are invited, enter, and when you have taken your meal, disperse, without sitting for a talk. Verily, such (behaviour) annoys the Prophet, and he is shy of (asking) you (to go), but Allah is not shy of (telling you) the truth. And when you ask (his wives) for anything you want, ask them from behind a screen, that is purer for your hearts and for their hearts….. [Soorah Al-Ahzaab Ayah 53] Imaam al-Qurtubiy (rahimahullaah) derived ten benefits from this Ayah, and the sixth of them is that a guest eats what the host is able to provide and not what he expects to eat, because Allaah said: [فَإِذَا طَعِمْتُمْ فَانتَشِرُوا And when you have taken your meal, disperse]. Therefore, neither has he [i.e. the person] been given more food nor something other than what is given. So the asl (i.e. basis in this affair) is what is provided by the host. Hosts and Guests – [Etiquettes to Learn From Ibraaheem’s (alayhis salaam) Hospitality] ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy. Allaah (The Most High) stated: Has the story reached you, of the honoured guests [three angels; Jibrael (Gabriel) along with another two] of Ibrahim (Abraham)? When they came in to him, and said, “Salam, (peace be upon you)!” He answered; “Salam,(peace be upon you),” and said: “You are a people unknown to me. Then he turned to his household, so brought out a roasted calf [as the property of Ibrahim (Abraham) was mainly cows]. And placed it before them, (saying): “Will you not eat? Then he conceived a fear of them (when they ate not). They said: “Fear not.” And they gave him glad tidings of an intelligent son, having knowledge (about Allah and His religion of True Monotheism). Then his wife came forward with a loud voice, she smote her face, and said: “A barren old woman!” [51:24-29] Imaam Ibnul Qayyim (rahimahullaah) said: ▫️Firstly: Allaah described his guests as being honoured. They were either honourable in the sight of Ibraaheem or honourable in the sight of Allaah. The verse carries both meanings. ▪️Secondly: Allaah [The Most High] said: [ إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ- When they came in to him.] So there is not a mention about them seeking permission to enter and in this is proof that he was known for being generous to guests. His house was open to guests and frequented by the one who could find it without the need for asking permission. This is a highest level of generosity. [فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِ - Then he turned to his household]: He went to his family in secret without the knowledge of the guests. This is an act of nobility – the leader of the house goes away secretly [to bring something for the guest] in such a manner that the guest is unaware, lest [the guest] becomes uneasy and shy; so he is made unaware until [the host] comes along with the food, as opposed to the one who says to his guest or those who are present: ‘’Wait, so that I bring you food’’ or a similar statement, which makes the guest feel shy and embarrassed. [فَجَاءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِينٍ – so (he) brought out a fat roasted calf]: This is an indication of his hospitality to his guests. Allaah (The Most High) did not say that Ibraaheem ordered for them, rather Ibraaheem went away and came back with the (roasted calf) himself. He did not send his servant to bring it and this is the highest degree of hospitality to guests. He came with a full roasted calf and not half of it. This is perfect hospitality. The calf was fat and not skinny, and it is well known that this was among the best of their wealth. The likes of it is given particular attention and nurturing, and Ibraaheem (alayhis-salaam) chose it for his guests. He himself brought the food close to them and did not command his servant to (do) so. He brought the food close to them and did not make them come close to the food. This is the highest level of generosity- bringing the food close, carrying it to the guest and not placing it at a distance and then asking the guest to come close. He said to them [أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ- Will you not eat?]: This is generous and soft speech, and it is better than saying ‘eat’ or ‘extend your hands’ and what is similar to it. He spoke to them with this generous and soft speech when he saw that they were not eating, because his guests are never in need of his permission; rather they eat when he presents food to them. So, when these guests did not eat, he said to them: ‘’Will you not eat?’’ He felt fear of them but did not reveal it.
