Can women raise their hands during the Qunut in Ramadhan? ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ ~ Sheikh Saalih Al-Fawzaan حفظه الله ~ https://safeYouTube.net/w/E3jN ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ https://t.me/thebeginningoftruth

Kissing the hand of one’s mother, father or a scholar ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ ―by Shaikh Ibn Bāz If a person kisses the hand of another person out of respect or due to their excellence in knowledge (i.e. the scholars) or kissing the hand of one’s parents or someone similar to them (such as grandparents, etc) ― and one does not do it as a customary habit upon each and every meeting, then there is no harm in that. However, if it is done every time they meet, then it is something disliked. See, Al-Jāmi’ fī Fiqhil-‘Allāmah Ibn Bāz (p. 1164), slightly adapted. As for what is practised in some cultures (in imitation of the Hindus and Christians) of bowing at the feet of one’s parents or husband, then this is totally prohibited in the Shariah. The Prophet (salallāhu ‘alaihi wasallam) forbade Mu’ādh (radiyallāhu ‘anhu) from bowing to him, therefore it is even more forbidden to bow to the created beings besides him. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ https://t.me/thebeginningoftruth

🖐 In Our Hands But Not In Our Hearts ✍🏻Al-Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim [رحمه الله] said: «فَمَتَى كَانَ الْمَالُ فِي يَدِكَ وَلَيْسَ فِي قَلْبِكَ لَمْ يَضُرَّكَ وَلَوْ كَثُرَ ، وَمَتَى كَانَ فِي قَلْبِكَ ضَرَّكَ وَلَوْ لَمْ يَكُنْ فِي يَدِكَ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ.» ❝When wealth is in your possession and your heart is not attached to it, then wealth will not harm you even if it is a lot. When your heart is attached to wealth it harms you even if you did not possess any whatsoever.❞ [Madarij As-Salikeen, (1/463) | Translated By Abbas Abu Yahya Miraath al-Anbiyya] ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ https://t.me/thebeginningoftruth

Our Salaf – Reminding The People About Reality – [Maymoon ibn Mehran] ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ A man said to Maymoon Ibn Mehraan [rahimahullaah]: “The people will not cease to be upon good as long as Allaah keeps you [alive] for them.” So he [Maymoon]  said: “The people will not cease to be upon good as long as they fear their Lord.” [Siyar 5/75] ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ https://t.me/thebeginningoftruth

PATIENCE ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Be patient with the calamities that befall you, while having faith that these calamities only happen by the decree of Allāh ﷻ, and due to the sins of mankind. As Allāh, the Exalted, said: وَمَآ أَصَٰبَكُم مِّن مُّصِيبَةٍ فَبِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَيَعْفُوا۟ عَن كَثِيرٍ {٣٠} And whatever of misfortune befalls you, it is because of what your hands have earned. And He pardons much.* Included in belief in Allāh ﷻ is patience upon the decree of Allāh. Patience is of three types: patience upon the obedience of Allāh such that you do not abandon it, patience upon staying away from sins such that you do not commit them, and patience with the painful decree of Allāh ﷻ such that you do not become angry. Allāh, the Exalted, said: وَبَشِّرِ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ {١٥٥} ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَآ أَصَٰبَتْهُم مُّصِيبَةٌ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّآ إِلَيْهِ رَٰجِعُونَ {١٥٦} أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ صَلَوَٰتٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَرَحْمَةٌ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُهْتَدُونَ {١٥٧} But give good tidings to the patient, who when aflicted with calamity, say: "Truly, to Allāh we belong and truly, to Him we shall return." Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided. * Sūrah ash-Shūrā, 42:30 Sūrah al-Baqarah, 2:155-157 Book: A Letter To The Incarcerated Muslim By Shaykh AbduIlah ibn Jāru Allah Translated by Rasheed Barbee Authentic Statements Publications P. 13, 14 ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ https://t.me/thebeginningoftruth

The Ruling on Photography and Videos – Shaykh Abdul-Aziz Ibn Baz https://safeYouTube.net/w/16mK The Presenter: There are some questions on photography – photography during celebrations and other occasions. Shaykh Abdul-Aziz Ibn Baz: The default ruling on photography is that it is impermissible. This is the default ruling because the Messenger ﷺ cursed any woman who plucks eyebrows for others and the one who gets her eyebrows plucked, the tattooist and the one who gets tattooed, and he ﷺ cursed picture makers. This is in al-Bukhārī in the narration of Abū Juḥayfah ‏رضي الله عنه‏. And he ﷺ said, “the people who will suffer the worst punishment on the Day of Rising are the picture makers.” He ﷺ also said, “the ones who made these pictures will be punished on the Day of Rising and it will be said to them, ‘bring what you created to life,’ among other such narrations concerning this topic. This is why the scholars deduced that making pictures is forbidden. There is a consensus against Solid (3-Dimensional) figures, figures that cast a shadow. The scholars have debated the permissibility of 2-dimensional images such as illustrations on a parchment or pieces of cloth and the like, and the majority of the scholars are of the opinion that these are also forbidden due to the general nature of the narrations and their implication. This is the correct view, that these narrations are all-inclusive, except for what is required out of necessity such as taking pictures of criminals in order to impede them or track them down so that they are prevented from harming the Muslim populace. Likewise, an unavoidable necessity as far as pictures are concerned would be the ones doctors use to gain information about specific diseases from the remains of a dead person. Also included are personal photographs needed for applications, such as applying for citizenship, or when one isn’t allowed schooling without a photograph – for necessities and the fulfilment of needs in which one is as if under duress. Therefore, if one is refused citizenship… or a certificate unless he produces a picture, this is considered as duress or an unavoidable necessity. In the past, I used to believe that… I used to have reservations about recordings, about televised recordings, the recording of lectures and seminars, and I used to be opposed to it and did not approve of its presence during lectures. Then it became apparent to me that adopting it for its general benefit to the Muslims, for them to benefit from seminars and lectures that are televised, that this is more beneficial. If it is permissible to take pictures to attain citizenship and such things while being a personal benefit and need, then how about needs and benefits that affect the common good? This is what made it clear to me that I should relax my stance towards recordings of seminars and lectures that carry a general benefit for Muslims and that are broadcast on television and other such media. This is the reasoning behind not prohibiting it in this context and not refraining from it. There is an angle from which this issue may be looked at as impermissible but the more convincing position to me at this time is that anything related to the common good is more important and greater than anything related to personal benefit like applying for citizenship and so on. We ask Allah to grant us all success. #DuSunnah ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ https://t.me/thebeginningoftruth

Ibnu Battah said: On one occasion one of the common folk who loved Al Barbahaari, and would attend his sitting, was drunk and passed by an innovator. So the innovator said: These are the Hanbalis! (the innovators used to call the salafis hanbalis) He turned around and came back to him and said: There are three types of Hanbalis. One type is extremely disinterested in the world, they fast and pray a lot. Another type write down knowledge and actively gain religious understanding. Another type slap every opposer of the sunnah like you! Then he slapped and hurt him.

ASKING TOO MANY QUESTIONS ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ One should not ask his friends about affairs that they do not want to reveal and when he sees them, he must not say: "Where are you going?" for it might be that they do not wish to tell. One must keep their secrets even if the ties have been broken and must never revile one's loved ones and family. If someone speaks ill about them, he must not convey that to him. Shaykh Rabee bin Hadi al-Mudkhali said: 1 - It is necessary to have concern with rectification of the hearts ▫With adhering to truthfulness ▫with sincerity, repentance, turning to Allaah repentantly ▫Being aware that Allaah-Azza wa Jal- watches you, and keeping away from ar-Riyyaah showing off. (2) Keeping away from envy, Keeping away from feelings of spite and hatred, Keeping away from that what corrupts the heart. ▫It is necessary to purify the heart, because none will enter Paradise except whomsoever  meets Allaah with a secure heart. (3) The Secure Heart ▫It is that heart which is secure from the diseases of Shirk, lying, rejecting the truth, evil, envy, hatred which are all in the path of Shaytaan and this includes all despised characteristics.' Wearing Henna During Fasting ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ 💬 Question: Is it permissible to apply Henna to hair whilst fasting? 💭Answer By Shaykh Muhammad Bin Salih al-Uthaymeen: «وضع الحناء أثناء الصيام لا يفطر، ولا يؤثر على الصائم شيئا.» ❝Applying Henna whilst fasting does not break the fast, nor does it at all affect the person fasting.❞ [Majmoo al-Fatawa, (19/227) | Translated By Abbas Abu Yahya Miraath al-Anbiyya] ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ https://t.me/thebeginningoftruth

Shaykh ul-Islaam Ibn Taymeeyah -rahimullaah- said : 'Young children are rewarded for what they do from good deeds, even though the pen has been lifted from them in regards to bad deeds. As is established in Saheeh Muslim that a woman lifted up her child towards the Prophet ﷺ and asked: ألهذا حج؟ 'Can he perform Hajj?' The Prophet answered: *نعم، ولكِ أجر* *'Yes, and you (also) get a reward.'* Collected by Muslim in his book.' Ibn Taymeeyah continues: '. . . . so a young child is rewarded for his prayer, fasting, Hajj as well as other good actions. He is given preference due to that, over the one who does not do good deeds like him.'

LISTENING TO MUSIC DURING THE MONTH OF RAMADĀN AND OUTSIDE OF RAMADĀN ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ There is proof from the Book and the Sunnah that listening to musical instruments and the like is not permissible. Allāh the Exalted said: { وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَشْتَرِى لَهْوَ ٱلْحَدِيثِ لِيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ } "And of mankind is he who purchases idle talk to mislead (men) from the path of Allāh." [Sūrah Luqmān 31:6] Ibn Mas'ūd رضي الله عنه and others have said: "Idle talk" means singing, and there is no doubt that musical instruments and music is included in idle talk which leads the people away from the path of Allāh. In Sahīh al-Bukhāri, there is a narration which some of the scholars mention connects various acts that are impermissible: لَيَكُونَنَّ مَنْ أُمَّتِي أَقْوَامٌ يَسْتَحِلُّونَ الْحِرَ وَالْحَرِيرَ وَالْخَمْرَ وَالْمَعَازِفَ. "Among my nation, there will certainly be people who permit fornication, silk, alcohol, and musical instruments..." * This clearly shows its prohibition, because something is only permitted if it was unlawful. And the Prophet ﷺ spoke the truth, for surely there are some people from the ummah of Muhammad who use musical instruments and singing as though they are permissible, and they do not view them as impermissible. It is obligatory upon the Muslim to follow that which comes in the Qur'ān and the Sunnah and to abandon the impermissible acts during the month of fasting -as the prohibition is stronger during this time- and outside the month of fasting. * Sahīh al-Bukhāri 5590 Book: Clarifying Common Mistakes Widespread Among The Muslims By Shaykh Sālih ash-Shaykh Translated by Rasheed Barbee Authentic Statements Publications P. 103, 104 ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ https://t.me/thebeginningoftruth

The Real Man ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Shaykh 'Abdur-Razzāq al-Badr حفظه الله mentioned: "On 'Ubayd bin Umm Kilāb رحمه الله he stated that he heard 'Umar bin Al-Khattāb رضي الله عنه say while he was addressing the people: 《Don't let the beautification of the man's speech amaze you. However, the one who fulfills the trust and refrains from (violating) the honor of the people is the (one who is a real) man》." [Az-Zuhd of Ibn Al-Mubārak (295)] Shaykh 'Abdur-Razzāq Al-Badr حفظه الله commented: "This means do not be deceived by the man's beautification of his speech. True manhood is in fulfilling the trust (that one is responsible for) and not neglecting it. Also, (true manhood) is in refraining from (violating) the honor of the people and not speaking bad about their honor behind their backs."
