🌷Pearls of Wisdom from the Salaf al-Ṣāliḥ “Iyās ibn Muʿāwiyah (d. AH 122) – raḥimahullāh – said, “There is no one who does not know his own faults, except that he is stupid.” BETWEEN HOPE AND FEAR: Sufyān Ibn ʿUyaynah (d.198H) – raḥimahullāh – said: “He whose sin is due to desire, then have hope for him; and he whose sin is due to pride, then fear for him. Because Ādam (ʿalayhi al-Salām) sinned due to desire, and he was forgiven; and Iblīs sinned due to pride, and he was cursed.” [1] SIGNS OF TRUE BROTHERHOOD: ʿAlī Ibn Abī Ṭālib (raḍī Allāhu ʿʿʿanhu) said: “Your brother is one who – if he brings a calamity upon you sometimes, then he does not cease having mercy upon you. Your brother is not the one who – if your affairs become disrupted – starts abusing and insulting you.” [2] DIMINISHING PIETY: Imām al-Ḥasan al-Baṣrī (d.110H) – raḥimahullāh – said, when he came across a group of people disputing: “These ones have become tired of worship, speaking has become easy for them, and their piety has diminished, and that is why they talk.” [3] Iyās Ibn Muʿāwiyah (d.122H) – raḥimahullāh – said: “There is no one who does not know his own faults, except that he is stupid.” It was said to him, ‘Then what is your shortcoming?’ He said, “Too much talk.” [4] THE SHIELD OF THE SCHOLAR: Imām Mālik Ibn Anas (d.179H) – raḥimahullāh – said: “The shield of the scholar is saying, ‘I do not know.’ So if he forgets it, then his enemies strike him!” [5] Al-Haytham Ibn Jamīl said: “I heard Mālik being asked about forty-eight questions, he replied to thirty-two of them saying, ‘I do not know.’” [6] ʿAbd al-Raḥmān Ibn Mahdī (d.198H) – raḥimahullāh – said: “We were with Mālik Ibn Anas when a man came saying, ‘O Abā ʿAbdullāh, I have traveled a distance of six months. The people of my land sent me to ask you about a matter.’ So he said, ‘Ask!’ So the man asked him some things, so he replied, ‘I do not know.’ – and the man thought he had come to someone who knew everything, so he said, ‘What shall I tell the people of my land when I return to them?’ He said, ‘Say to them, Mālik Ibn Anas does not know.’” [7] BENEFICIAL KNOWLEDGE OR MERE TALK: Ibn Masʿūd (raḍī Allāhu ʿʿʿanhu) said: “You are in a time whose scholars are many, and its speakers are few. After you will come a time whose scholars are few, and whose speakers are many.” [8] PROFIT IN THE HEREAFTER: ’Awn Ibn ʿAbdullāh (d.120H) – raḥimahullāh – said: “Three are from īmān (faith): modesty, chastity, and withholding the tongue – not the heart, nor the actions – since these are things that bring profit in the Hereafter, and loss in this life. And whatever is gained in the Hereafter is greater than whatever is lost in this life.” [9] Endnotes: [1] Related by Imām al-Dhahabī in Siyar Aʿlām al-Nubʿalāʾ(8/471). Regarding Allāh's statement: {As for those who strive hard in Us (Our Cause).} [Al-Ankabūt 29:69] فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ قَالَ: {وَالَّذِينَ جَاهَدُوا فِينَا لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَنَا} Al-Fuḍayl bin Iyaad said: وَقَالَ الْفُضَيْلُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ: “Those who strive in seeking knowledge, وَالَّذِينَ جَاهَدُوا فِي طَلَبِ الْعِلْمِ Allāh will guide them to the paths of acting upon that knowledge.” لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَ الْعَمَلِ بِهِ. Sahl bin 'Abdullāh said: وَقَالَ سَهْلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ: “Those who strive in establishing the Sunnah, وَالَّذِينَ جَاهَدُوا فِي إِقَامَةِ السُّنَّةِ Allāh will guide them to the paths of Jannah.” لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَ الْجَنَّةِ. From Al-Miqdad Bin Ma’d Yakrib [رضي الله عنه] who said: I heard the Messenger of Allaah [ﷺ] saying: «ما ملأ آدمي وعاء شرا من بطن بحسب ابن آدم أكيلات يقمن صلبه فإن كان لا محالة فثلث لطعامه وثلث لشرابه وثلث لنفسه» ❝A human does not fill a more evil container than a stomach. It is sufficient for the son of Adam to eat small portions by which his back can remain straight. If it is not possible, then he should reserve his stomach, a third for his food, third for his drink and a third for his breathing.❞ [Collected By Tirmidhi And He Declared It To Be Hasan, And By Ibn Majah And Ibn Hibban | Sh. THE SIGNS OF BENEFICIAL KNOWLEDGE ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ The sign of knowledge that does not benefit is pride, arrogance, and conceit. Such a person seeks high position and ranking in this world and competes for it. He debates with the scholars with the aim of defeating them, and argues with the foolish with the aim of directing their attention towards him. It is reported from the Prophet, peace and blessing be upon him, that whoever seeks knowledge for this purpose, "for him is the Fire, the Fire!" * * Ibn Mājah #254 and ibn Hibbān #290 on the authority of Jābir. INDEED ALLĀH LOVES THE PERSON OF GOOD CHARACTER ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ The Prophet ﷺ said: إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ مَكَارِمَ الأَخْلاقِ وَيَكْرَهُ سَفْسَافَهَا "Indeed, Allāh loves the person of good character and dislikes the person of bad character." * * Reported by al-Hākim (1/48) and others.. The love of a person of good character and the dislike of a person of bad character is the essence of wisdom. Intelligence is a great treasure: it makes exile pleasant and it negates poverty; there is no wealth better than it, and a person's religion can not be complete without intelligence. IF ALLĀH DECREES GOOD FOR A PERSON ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ If Allāh decrees good for a person, He makes his heart disposed towards accepting sincere advice and guides a voice of admonition to echo in his mind during its periods of leisure and inactivity, just as rain is led to the barren land يُخْرِجُ بِهِۦ زَرْعًا مُّخْتَلِفًا أَلْوَٰنُهُۥ ثُمَّ "He produces thereby crops of varying colors." [al-Zumar 39:21] However, if Allāh turns away from a person, He throws him into an ocean of heedlessness, so that whenever he opens his eyes he only see layer upon layer of darkness, one on top of the other. The means of safety are prepared for the chosen one, while the destiny of the wretched is chained with inadvertence. KNOWLEDGE AND PATIENCE ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ "Guidance is not attained except with knowledge and correct direction is not attained except with patience."* Majmū' Fatāwā [10/40] Book: Gardens of Purification By Shaykhul-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah Translated and Published by Dār as-Sunnah Publishers P. 26 ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ https://t.me/thebeginningoftruth

THE ETIQUETTES THAT THE SICK SHOULD OBSERVE ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ The etiquettes that the sick should observe are: • He should have good patience (hasan al-sabr), • Refrain from complaining (qila al-shakwa) or • Displaying displeasure (faza'), • Resort to supplication (du'ā') and • Depend (tawakkul) on Allāh. A SEA THAT MUST BE CROSSED ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ This world is similar to a sea that all the creation must cross in order to reach the shore that contains their homes and residences. It is not possible to cross it safely without a ship. Thus Allāh عزوجل sent His messengers to teach their nations how to use their ships and how to board them to safety. This is by obeying Allāh عزوجل and His messengers, worshipping Allāh alone, working sincerity for Him, and striving for the Afterlife. Those who desire the Hereafter and strive for it will board and ride the ship. They will turn away from plunging into the sea because they know you cannot cross the sea by diving into it and swimming. As for the foolish, they will deem the work on the ship as difficult, so they will say, "We will rush the sea and when we get weak we will swim across it." Most of the people of the world are like this. They dive into it, and when they get weak they swim until they drown. The people who boarded the ship were saved just as it saved those who boarded the ship with Nūh عليه السلام, while the inhabitants of the earth drowned. Ponder this example and the condition of the people of this world and it will be clear to you how the similitude agrees with reality. THE DANGER OF PRIVATE CLASSES BETWEEN MEN & WOMEN ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ We have heard of some women - some of them single and some of them otherwise - in various places from time to time having private classes with some of the students of knowledge - some of them Salafi and some of them not - by way of the phone or Paltalk. This has transpired among some of the women, not in a particular country, but in various places. It has reached the extent that some women brag about this; rather, this has developed into some of these women admiring these students. In my view - and I am not generalizing - this has become the latest trend for some of them, and this is from fitnah. Some of them open discussions with the students of knowledge by phone, Messenger, Paltalk, text, or email, and this could lead to matters that oppose the Islamic legislation. All of this is from the plots of the Shaytān, and the evil consequences of this are closer than the anticipated benefit. The fitnah comes from being amazed by the voice, flowery speech, or soft mannerisms. This woman or young lady is in her twenties and this shaykh is in his thirties or forties!! So who is the one who feels that he is safe from fitnah?! Thus, we say it is not upon the woman to seek knowledge in this manner that leads to her frequently speaking with non-related male. The result of this is that her shyness will be removed, and when the shyness of the woman is removed, her chastity and protection is removed, as well as her wholesomeness and good reputation. *No Justification with differences of opinions* ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Translated By Abbas Abu Yahya Shaykh Salih al-Fawzan said: لا يحتج بالخلاف إلَّا أهل الأهواء؛ الذين يحبون أن يتَّبعوا أهواءهم، أما الذي يخاف الله فلا يحتج بالخلاف؛ وإنَّما يحتج بالدليل . Ruling on Salah in Thin Clothes ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Q: Do thin clothes screen the ‘Awrah (parts of the body that must be covered in public) or not? Is Salah valid when a Muslim offers it while wearing such clothes? A: If the garment referred to does not conceal the skin because it is thin or light, a man cannot pray in it unless he is wearing trousers or an Izar (garment worn below the waist) underneath to cover the area between the navel and the knees. As for a woman, if she prays in light or thin clothes like this garment, Salah is invalid unless she is wearing something underneath that covers her entire body. Short pants underneath the garment in question are not sufficient and if a man prays in such a garment, he should also wear an undershirt or something else to cover his shoulders, or one of them, because the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “No one of you should pray in a single garment, nothing of which is over his shoulders.” (Agreed upon by Al-Bukhari and Muslim) [Majmoo’al-Fataawa Ibn Baaz, Vol.: 10; pg. 413] ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ https://t.me/thebeginningoftruth

📜… If they help you in the obedience to Allah and guide and cultivate you with a correct upbringing then they deserve to be obeyed. If, however, they both deviate and strive with much effort to make you fall into Shirk with Allah then there is no obedience to them (in that). However, the general righteousness that you should have towards them does not become void even if they try and strive against you and harm you to disbelieve in Allah, it is upon you not to forget their rights. His statement: *"But accompany them in [this] world with appropriate kindness"* - means that you have good conduct towards them, be righteous to them, spend on them, even if they be disbelievers. You obey them in other than the disobedience to Allah, You serve them and fulfil their needs. All of this is considered to be kindness to them. 💎 *The rights of the parents do not become null and void even if the parents fall into innovation and Shirk, for you must be a good companion to them in this life.* ‎ـــــــــــــ 📘 Reference: The Advice of Luqmān the wise to his son | Pg. 19. ✒ By: Ash-Shaykh Al-Allāmah Rabī’ Ibn Hādī Al-Madkhalī. © Salafi Publications, 2017. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ https://t.me/thebeginningoftruth

🌤Ten Causes That Remove The Punishment For Sins 🖋📄Shaykh al-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah) stated as occurs in Majmu' al-Fatawa (7/487): 📚The texts of the Book and the Sunnah have indicated that the punishment (due) for sins can be removed from the servant by around ten causes.  🔸The First: Repentance, and this is agreed upon amongst the Muslims.  🔸The Second cause: Seeking forgiveness.  🔸The Third cause: Good deeds which wipe out (evil deeds).  🔸The Fourth cause: That which repels punishment, the supplication of the believers for a believer, such as praying over his funeral.  🔸The Fifth cause: What is done for the dead of righteous deeds such as charity and its likes.  🔸The Sixth cause: The intercession of the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) and others for the sinners on the Day of Judgement.  🔸The Seventh cause: Calamities by which Allaah expiates sins in the life of this world.  🔸The Eighth cause: What occurs in the grave of tribulation, compression and fear.  🔸The Ninth cause: The terrors of the Day of Judgement and the severity of its hardships.  🔸The Tenth: The mercy of Allaah, His pardon and forgiveness without any reason (necessitating that) from the servant.

A Mother’s Advice to Her Daughter Before Marriage ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ “O my dear daughter, take from me these 10 qualities; they will be for you a stored treasure and a reminder: ▪️ One: Accompany him with contentment and live with him in a good manner. ▪️ Two: Listen to him and obey him. ▪️ Three and four: Take care of his eyes and take care of his nose, so do not let him see anything ugly from you and only let him smell pleasant smells from you. Kohl is the best beautification while water is the sweetest of the rare perfumes. ▪️ Five and six: Pay attention to his meal times and be quiet during his sleep times, because the heat of hunger is like a burning flame and disturbing his sleep will anger him. ▪️Seven and eight: Take care of his home and his wealth and look over him, his servants, and his children. Protecting his wealth shows good judgment, while watching over his servants and children shows good management. ▪️ Nine and ten: Do not expose his secrets and do not disobey his command. If you expose his secrets, he will never feel safe with you, and if you disobey his command, his heart will boil with anger towards you. “Beware of showing happiness in front of him when he is sad, and do not express sorrow in front of him when he is happy. In the first scenario, it shows negligence, and the second scenario will cause him sadness. “Show him the utmost respect and the utmost honor, and agree with him as much as possible; this will increase your companionship. And know— you will not attain what you love until you prefer his happiness over your happiness and his desires over your desires concerning what you like and dislike. May Allah grant you what is best.” So she went to her husband and she had a tremendous position with him. She gave birth to seven kings who ruled Yemen after him. Therefore, I do not believe that the woman who focuses on seeking knowledge exactly as the men do will establish her marital rights, the rights of her children, and the rights of the home in a complete manner. The woman who says she will establish all of these rights while seeking knowledge is mistaken, and the reality will prove this. As for the woman who stays awake all night on Paltalk following the lessons here and there, will she fulfill her husband’s rights in the required manner 📖 A Message Exclusively to the Muslim Woman. 🖊️ Shaikh Jamal Ibn Furayhan Al-Harithi | Authentic Statements._ _points collected from Pg № :30-32 ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ https://t.me/thebeginningoftruth
