Question posed to Shaykh AbdulAziz bin Baaz رحمه الله تعالى: Q: O noble shaykh, what is the ruling of wiping over (the back of) the neck during wudhoo (ablution)? ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ A: It is not legislated. Only (wiping over) the head is legislated. A person should wipe over his head along with his ears. As for (the back of) the neck it is not to be wiped. - Fataawaa Noor Alaa Ad-Darb 5/116 ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ https://t.me/thebeginningoftruth

A Prophetic Condemnation of Racism ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Ibn ‘Umar narrated that the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) gave a sermon to the people on the day of the conquest of Makkah, and he said: “O you people! Verily Allāh has abolished the arrogance of pre-Islamic ignorance from you, and its reverence to your forefathers. So, now there are two types of men: A man who is righteous, has piety and is honourable before Allāh, and a wicked man who is miserable and insignificant to Allāh. People are children of Ādam and Allāh created Ādam from the earth. Allāh said: {O you people! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes so that you may know one another. Verily, the most honourable of you with Allāh is the one who has most piety. Verily, Allāh is ‘Alīm [All-Knowing], Khabīr [Perfectly Aware]} (49:13).” Ibn al-‘Arabī said in commentary of this narration: “During the days of pre Islamic ignorance, nobility would be based on particular features as opposed to piety. So Allāh nullified all forms of pride and nobility based on inherent or inherited features and only left that [nobility] connected to piety; which is to obey Allāh and adhere to His legislation. Whereby the origin of man is one, from clay. And their father is one, Ādam, who is the origin [from which humans were born], Ādam and Ḥawa” [Eve]. Desirability of making up the missed days of Ramadan before observing Sawm for six days in Shawwal Q: Is it permissible to observe Sawm (fasting) for six days in Shawwal before making up for the missed days in Ramadan? A: Scholars disagreed about this matter; however, the strongest opinion is that it is prescribed to give precedence to observing Sawm of the missed days in Ramadan over the six days of Shawwal and other supererogatory Sawm, according to the statement of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم), “If a person observes Sawm in Ramadan and then follows it with six days of Shawwal, it would be as if they have observed Sawm perpetually.” Related by Muslim in his Sahih (authentic) Book of Hadith. If a person chooses to observe Sawm of the six days of Shawwal first, they will not follow it by Sawm of all Ramadan, but some of it. Making up for the missed days in Ramadan is a Fard (obligation), while the six days of Shawwal are supererogatory, and a Fard is more important to fulfil. May Allah grant us success! Q: A Muslim sister from Al-Majma’ah is asking: I was unable to fast during Ramadan due to my post-partum bleeding. I was purified during the days of ‘Eid and I really wish to fast six days of Shawwal. Is it permissible to fast these days then start making up for my missed days of Ramadan? Please give us your Fatwa (legal opinion issued by a qualified Muslim scholar) and may Allah guide you to all goodness! A: It is necessary to start by making up for your missed days of fasting in Ramadan, for the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said, “Anyone who observed the fast of Ramadan and then followed it with six days (of fasting) in Shawwal, it would be as if they fasted permanently.” (Related by Muslim in his "Sahih" book of authentic Hadith). Thus, the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) shows us that fasting six days of Shawwal comes after fasting Ramadan. It is your duty to start by making up for your missed days of fasting, even if you miss fasting six days in Shawwal, based on the previous Hadith. Moreover, Fard (obligatory) acts take precedence over Nafilah (supererogatory) acts. May Allah guide us all to Success! Q: Is it permissible for a person who has days to fast from Ramadan to fast the six days of Shawwal before making up for the days they missed from Ramadan, since these days can be made up for at any time while the days of Shawwal should be fasted only in Shawwal? Please, advise. May Allah reward you well! A: It is prescribed for you to make up for the days you missed from Ramadan first before fasting the six days of Shawwal. The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “Whoever fasts Ramadan and follows it with six days of Shawwal, it will be as if he fasted a lifetime.” If the person fasted the six days before making up for the missed days, they will not be following all of Ramadan, but some of it. Moreover, the Fard (obligatory, based on a definitive text) is more important so it should be given priority. ASKING THE PEOPLE OF KNOWLEDGE IS FROM KNOWLEDGE ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Asking the people of knowledge is from knowledge. Therefore, whoever asks the people of knowledge, then he has sought enlightenment for his religion, and has implemented that which is obligatory upon him. The Islamic Ruling on Music and Singing ―Ibn Bāz, Al-Albāni, Ibn Taymiyyah, Ibn Al-Qayyim and the Four Madhhabs Is music and singing permissible in Islam? Listening to songs is prohibited (harām) due to the saying of Allah: وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَشْتَرِي لَهْوَ الْحَدِيثِ لِيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَيَتَّخِذَهَا هُزُوًا ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ – 31:6 “And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead others from the way of Allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment.” (Luqmān: 6) The “amusement of speech’ is singing as was explained by a group of the Sahābah such as Ibn Mas’ūd (radiyallāhu ‘anhu). There is a hadeeth reported in Saheeh Al-Bukhāri (no. 5590) that the Prophet (salallāhu ‘alaihi wasallam) said: “There will be a people at the end of time who will make permissible fornication, silk (for men), wine and musical instruments ―Allah will cause the earth to swallow them up.” The Prophet (salallāhu ‘alaihi wasallam) put musical instruments alongside fornication, wearing of silk for men and the drinking of wine (alcohol) ―all of these things are harām. So this proves that music is harām ―that includes musical instruments and singing. (See Al-Jāmi’ fī Fiqhil-‘Allāmah Ibn Bāz, p. 1203) Allah stated: “And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead others from the way of Allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment.” (Luqmān: 6) Ibn ‘Abbās said: “It refers to singing.” (Tafsīr At-Tabari) Hasan Al-Basrī: said: “The verse was revealed concerning flutes and singing.” (Tafsīr Ibn Kathīr) Ibn Mas’ūd said: “By Allah besides whom there is none worthy of worship, it refers to singing.” And he repeated it three times. And the same was reported from Ibn ‘Umar. (See Ighāthatul-Luhfān of Ibn Al-Qayyim) Shaikh Al-Albānī explained that the hadeeths forbidding musical instruments are clearcut without ambiguity, except for the simple drum that is played by women at weddings or on ‘Eid. The Four Imāms: Abu Hanīfah, Mālik, Shāfi’i and Ahmad are in agreement upon this forbiddance. (See As-Saheehah 1/145) An-Nahās (rahimahullah) stated: “It (music and singing) is forbidden by the Book and Sunnah.” At-Tabaree stated: “The scholars of the various lands are in agreement regarding the dislike of singing (and music) and it’s prohibition.” Imām Al-Awzā’ee stated: “Do not enter a waleemah (wedding) where there is singing and music.” Shaikhul-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah stated: “The position of the Imāms of the Four Schools of Jurisprudence is that all musical instruments are harām… and it is not narrated from any of the followers of the Imāms that they disputed concerning this.” (Majmū’ al-Fatawa) The Prophet (salallāhu ‘alaihi wassallam) said: “There will be people from my Ummah who will make fornication, wearing silk, intoxicants and musical instruments halāl… Allah will destroy them during the night, causing the mountain to fall on them, transforming others into monkeys and pigs..” (Bukhārī no. 5590) Al-Awzā’ī said that ‘Umar b. ‘Abdul-‘Azīz (d. 101AH) wrote to ‘Umar b. Al-Walīd stating at the end, “Your openly allowing musical instruments and flutes is an innovation in Islam. I was considering sending someone to cut off your evil forelock of hair!” (Nasā’ī no. 4135, Sahīh) ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ https://t.me/thebeginningoftruth

There are two times of joy for the fasting person, a time of joy when he breaks his fast and a time of joy when he meets his Lord, and the smell coming from the mouth of the fasting person is better in the sight of Allāh than the smell of Musk. [Agreed upon] The Ḥadīths concerning the virtues of fasting in the month of Ramaḍān and fasting in general are abundant. Fasting the Month of Ramaḍān   Imām ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn ʿAbdullāh ibn Bāz Shaykh ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Bāz elaborates on the virtues of the blessed month of Ramaḍān. The shaykh clarifies those who are obligated to fast throughout this month.   There are two times of joy for the fasting person, a time of joy when he breaks his fast and a time of joy when he meets his Lord, and the smell coming from the mouth of the fasting person is better in the sight of Allāh than the smell of Musk. The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá ʿalayhi wa-sallam), collected by Bukhārī.   Who Is Obligated to Fast the Month of Ramaḍān? What Are the Virtues of Fasting Ramaḍān and Likewise the Virtues of Voluntary Fasting? Fasting the month of Ramaḍān is an obligation upon all Muslim men and women who are capable of fasting. Fasting is also recommended for boys and girls who have passed the age of seven years old who are able to endure it; it is also upon those in authority over them to order them to fast if they can endure it — the same way they are ordered to establish the prayer. The principle for this is in Allāh's saying: O you who believe! Observing al-ṣowm (the fasting) is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become righteous [Observing fasts] for a fixed number of days, but if any of you is ill or on a journey, the same number (should be made up) from other days. up until Allāh’s saying: The month of Ramaḍān in which was revealed the Qurʾān, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right and wrong). So whoever of you sights (the crescent on the first night of) the month (of Ramaḍān i.e. is present at his home), he must observe ṣowm (fasts) that month, and whoever is ill or on a journey, the same number [of days which one did not observe ṣowm (fasts) must be made up] from other days. [Surah al-Baqarah, 2:183-185] The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: Islām is built upon five [pillars]: testifying that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muḥammad is the Messenger of Allāh; establishing the prayers; giving zakāt; making pilgrimage to the House (i.e. Kʿabah); and fasting the month of Ramaḍān. This ḥadīth was narrated by Ibn ʿUmar (raḍi Allāhu ʿʿʿanhumā) and its authenticity is agreed upon. Likewise, his (ṣallá Allāḥu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) statement when Jibrāʾīl asked him about Islām, to which the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá ʿalayhi wa-sallam) replied: Islām is to testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allāh; and that Muḥammad is the Messenger of Allāh; establishing the prayers; giving zakāt; fasting the month of Ramaḍān; and making pilgrimage to the House (i.e. Kʿabah) if you are able. This Ḥadīth has been narrated by ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb and was collected by Muslim in his Ṣaḥīḥ. Also its meaning has been collected by the two Shaykhs (Bukhārī and Muslim) from the narration of Abū Hurayrah (raḍi Allāhu ʿʿʿanhu). It has also been recorded in the ṣaḥīḥayn (i.e. Saḥīḥ Bukhārī and Muslim) from the narration of Abu Hurayrah (raḍi Allāhu ʿʿʿanhu) that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: Whosoever fasts the month of Ramaḍān out of faith (i.e. belief) hoping for a reward from Allāh, then all his previous sins will be forgiven. Likewise it has been confirmed from the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said that Allāh mentioned: Every action of the son of Ādam is given a good deed, each good deed receiving ten times its like, up to seven hundred times, except for fasting, for it is for Me and I will give reward him for

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN THE DEVIL WHISPERS TO YOU? One of the Salaf asked his student: 'What do you do when the devil whispers to you?' He replied: 'I fight him back.' The teacher asked: 'What if he returns?' He replied: 'I fight him.' The teacher asked again: 'What if he returns?' The student repeated again: 'I fight him.' The teacher said: 'This will take too long. Do you see if you try to pass by some sheep and the shepherd's dog barks at you to prevent you from passing, what would you do?' He replied: 'I would struggle to fight and repel him.' The teacher replied: 'This would take too long. Instead, seek the assistance of the sheep's owner, he would suffice you from him.' IF YOU LAUGH A LITTLE, YOU WILL CRY MUCH Happiness in this life is (like) a dream or like a passing shade. If you laugh a little, you will cry much. If you are happy for a day, you will be sad for a year. If you experience a little enjoyment, you will be prevented for a long time (from enjoyment). Happiness has not filled a home except that a lesson has filled it as well. As Ibn Mas'ūd (رضي الله عنه) has mentioned: "For every (moment of) joy there is a (moment of) sadness. A house is not filled with joy except that it is (also) filled with sadness." Shaikh ‘Abdul Muhsin al-‘Abbād حفظه الله - Update on his previous statement regarding gaps in congregational prayer. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ “I was asked over two months ago, in the month of Rajab, at the time when prayers were still being established in the mosques in this country (Saudi Arabia), and lessons were being carried out in al-Masjid an- Nabawī, I say; I was asked in a lesson about what happened in some other countries where they were praying in mosques and between each person and the next a gap of a metre or two was being left, upon their claim that it was for protection from the disease (covid-19), so what is the ruling on that? So I replied stating the invalidity of the prayer, because they are considered as individuals, I mean that they resemble the one who prays individually behind the row, and it has been established from the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, “That he saw a man pray behind the row by himself so he commanded him to repeat.” And after the allowance was released to establish the Jumu’ah and congregations for all the obligatory prayers in the mosques of the Kingdom - whilst upholding the precautionary procedures and protective measures beginning from Sunday 8th Shawwāl 1441 (Sunday 31st May) - the Ministry of Islamic Affairs announced information for those in responsibility of the mosques, from that: the mandatory gap of 2 metres to be left between each person praying. So I say now: It is not appropriate for anyone to rely on what I said, rather reliance is now upon what emanated, or is emanating, regarding that from the authority whom fatwa is connected to. And I ask Allāh to repel the calamity, and to remove the epidemic, and to give success to the Muslim rulers and subjects to that which has within it rectification and success, and all that has within it happiness of this World and the Afterlife, indeed He is the All-Hearing, the Responsive, and the peace and blessings of Allāh upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions.” Translation: Abū Mu’ādh Taqweem Friday 6th Shawwāl 1441 (Friday 29th May 2020) ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ https://t.me/thebeginningoftruth

Questioner: Is the (obligation of) ghusl on Friday general for both men and women or is it specifically for the men only? Shaykh Ṣāliḥ ibn Fawzān al-Fawzān: [It is for] those who go to the Friday prayer, who attend the congregation, in order to remove odours and clean [oneself]. Those who go to the Friday prayer should perform ghusl in order to clean themselves. This is a recommended Sunnah. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ https://t.me/thebeginningoftruth

FEW STEPS WHEN INTENDING TO ADVISE ONE'S BROTHER It is important to know the correct method to advise one's Muslim brother. The following are the steps that should be followed when intending to advise someone: Sincere intention: The purpose of advising should be for the sake of Allāh alone because giving advice to others when they ask for it is one of the commandments of Allāh as reported in the hadīth.¹ Also, occasionally giving advice is required even if none asked for it such as when you see a person committing a wrongdoing and your intention in such case is not to defame or belittle him, rather it is to save your Muslim brother from falling into sins. The advice should be given with kindness and good manners and in secret for "he who covers the faults of a Muslim, Allāh shall cover his faults in this life and hereafter."² That said, one should follow the example of the Prophet (ﷺ) when giving advice to others, for Allāh, Exalted is He, said describing His Prophet (ﷺ); فَبِمَا رَحْمَةٍ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ لِنتَ لَهُمْ وَلَوْ كُنتَ فَظًّا غَلِيظَ ٱلْقَلْبِ لَٱنفَضُّوا۟ مِنْ حَوْلِكَ "So by mercy from Allah, [O Muhammad (ﷺ)], you were lenient with them. And if you had been rude [in speech] and harsh in heart, they would have disbanded from about you."³ And لَقَدْ جَآءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ عَزِيزٌ عَلَيْهِ مَا عَنِتُّمْ حَرِيصٌ عَلَيْكُم بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ رَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ (١٢٨) "There has certainly come to you a Messenger from among yourselves. Grievous to him is what you suffer; [he is] concerned over you and to the believers is kind and merciful."⁴ And وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍ (٤) "And indeed, you are of a great moral character."⁵ However, when the advised is a person whose sin or innovation are advocated in public, the advice should be given in public and people should be warned about him lest they fall for him. It was reported that a man advised the Caliph al-Ma'mūn in a harsh abusive way. The Caliph said to the man, 'Allāh has sent someone better than you to advise someone who is more evil than me, Allāh said to Moses and Harun, فَقُولَا لَهُۥ قَوْلًا لَّيِّنًا لَّعَلَّهُۥ يَتَذَكَّرُ أَوْ يَخْشَىٰ (٤٤) "And speak to him (Pharaoh) with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]."⁶ It is also important to differentiate between someone whose intention it is to advise (nasīhah) and someone whose intention it is to shame (fadīlah). And no one confuses one of these with the other, except someone who does not possess sound intellect. __________________________ ¹) Muslim #2162. ²) Bukhārī #2442 and Muslim #2580. ³) Surah Al-'Imrān (3): 159 ⁴) Surah Tawbah (9): 128 ⁵) Surah Qalam (68): 4 ⁶) Surah Taha (20): 44 Book: Difference Between Advising and Shaming By al-Hāfiz Ibn Rajab al-Hanbalī Accompanied with commentary of Dr. Sālih ibn Sa'd al-Suhaymī Translated and Published by Dār as-Sunnah Publishers P. 53, 54, 55 ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ https://t.me/thebeginningoftruth

Fasting has Two Meanings ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ As-Siyaam (fasting) has 2 meanings; one is linguistic, and one is legislative. The Linguistic Siyaam: To merely refrain from something without an intention. So it is said: To fast from speaking, i.e. refrain from it, and to fast from sitting in the house and instead attaching (oneself to) the masjid, meaning, refraining from sitting in the house, to other than that from the linguistic things. The Legislative Siyaam: It is refraining with an intention, from the rising of the true dawn, until the setting of the sun, from the desires of the stomach and private parts. It is also said that it is: (to refrain) from all of that which breaks the fast from food, drink and whatever takes their ruling. So the difference between the two meanings is the intention. - Sheikh Ubayd bin Abdillah Al-Jaabiree حفظه الله تعالى in his Explanation of Kitaab As-Siyaam of Umdah Al-Ahkaam (Taken from https://miraath.net/شرح-كتاب-الصيام-من-عمدة-الأحكام-فضيل/ Lesson 1, 26 Rajab 1436, from 1:24 mins to 3:02 mins mark.) ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ https://t.me/thebeginningoftruth

*When Only Two Are Praying* When two men are praying together, one leads and the other stands to his right, foot-to-foot, shoulder-to-shoulder, not slightly behind. The same applies when two women are praying. Narrated Ibn Abbās (radiyallāhu ‘anhumā) who said: “One night I prayed to the left of the Prophet in the Prayer, so he took me by my hand or by my shoulder till he made me stand on his right side, and he beckoned with his hand for me to go to his right side from behind him.” (Reported by al-Bukhārī, no. 728.) *When A Wife Prays Behind Her Husband* When a woman prays with her husband then she should stand behind him and not next to him. That is because when the Prophet (salallāhu ‘alaihi wasallam) led the Prayer in the home of Anas’ grandmother, he placed Anas (radiyallāhu ‘anhu) and a child behind him, and the grandmother of Anas stood behind them on her own. At-Tirmidhi (rahimahullāh) commenting on this hadeeth stated that if there are two men and a woman praying, then the man stands to the right side of the imām and the woman stands behind them on her own. (See At-Tirmidhi, no. 234) In another narration from Anas bin Mālik that the Messenger of Allah (salallāhu ‘alaihi wasallam) led him, his mother (or his aunt) in prayer. Anas said: “He made me stand on his right side and made the woman stand, behind us.” (Muslim, no. 660) Shaikh Ibn Bāz (rahimahullāh) affirmed this as the correct ruling regarding this matter. The Prophet (salallāhu ‘alaihi wasallam) did not allow Anas to (radiyallāhu ‘anhu) to stand with his mother, aunt or grandmother in the prayer. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ https://t.me/thebeginningoftruth

The messenger of Allāh (sallallāhu alaihi wa salam) said, ‘Whomsoever performs ghusl for a (deceased) Muslim and conceals (his affairs), he will be forgiven 40 times…” To attain this reward there are two conditions 1. That he conceal the dead person, i.e. he does not talk or disclose that which he has seen from disliked/unpleasant affairs (related to the deceased). 2. That he hopes and desires by way of washing the dead Muslim, the Face of Allāh, not seeking a reward or thanks or anything from the affairs of the worldly life. The Ruling on Women Adding False Hair From ‘Abdul-’Aziz ibn ‘Abdullah ibn Baaz to the honourable brother S.A.G. May Allah protect him! As-salamu ‘alaykum warahmatullah wabarakatuh (May Allah's Peace, Mercy, and Blessings be upon you!) In reference to your Fatwa request registered in the Department of Scholarly Research and Ifta' number 1265, dated 1/4/1407 A.H., you inquire therein about the ruling on women adding false hair. A: I inform you that it is impermissible for women to add false hair. There is no difference in that between human and animal hair according to the Sahih (authentic) Hadiths that are prohibiting this act. It is narrated in the Sahih Book of Muslim on the authority of Asma' bint Abu Bakr (رضی اللہ عنھا) that “a woman came to the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and said, “O Messenger of Allah! I have a daughter who has been newly wedded. She had an attack of smallpox and thus her hair fell, may I add false hair to her head?” Thereupon the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said, “Allah has cursed the woman who adds false hair and the woman who asks for it.” It is also reported on the authority of Abu Al-Zubayr that he heard Jabir ibn ‘Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) saying, “The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) forbade women from adding anything to her head (in the form of artificial hair).” May Allah guide everyone to what pleases Him! Guidance, piety, chastity and contentment الهُدى والتُّقى والعَفافَ والغِنى Translated by Abbas Abu Yahya ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ From Abdullaah bin Mas’ood that the Prophet sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam used to supplicate and say: « اللهُمَّ إنِّي أسْألُكَ الهُدى والتُّقى، والعَفافَ والغِنى » ‘O Allaah I ask of You guidance and piety, chastity and contentment.’ [Collected by Imam Muslim] Allaahumma Inni Asalooka al Huda wal Tuqaa wal Afafa wal Ghina Imam Sa’adi Rahimahullaah said: ‘This Dua: ‘O Allaah I ask of You guidance and piety’ is from the most comprehensive and beneficial Dua. It includes asking for the best of the Deen and the best of the Duniya. Indeed ‘guidance’ is beneficial knowledge. ‘Piety’ is doing righteous actions and leaving off what Allaah prohibited and what the Messenger prohibited on His behalf. By these two matters the Deen is rectified, since the Deen is beneficial knowledge and truthful information and that is guidance. As for undertaking obedience to Allaah and His Messenger then that is Taqwaa. As for the words《Chastity and contentment》the meaning here for chastity includes not being in need of the creation and not attaching the heart to the creation. Being content with Allaah, with what He provides, and being satisfied with the provision, achieving that with which the heart becomes content and sufficient, then with this happiness in the Duniya becomes complete, relaxation of the heart and that is a good and delightful life. Therefore, whoever is provided with guidance, piety, chastity and contentment then he acquires the two delights and happiness. He acquires all that he desires and is saved from every fear and phobia and Allaah knows best.’ [Bahjatul  Qaloob al-Abraar 185] <<Chastity>> Shaykh Uthaymeen -Rahimahullaah- said: As for <<Chastity>> then it is being free from that which is not permissible, being fortified from the cravings of the Duniya, so al-Ifafa (Chastity) with all its types means being chaste from all types of Zina (evil sexual sins): the Zina of sight, Zina of touching, Zina of listening and Zina of the private parts.’ [Sharh Riyadh as-Saliheen 4/58] Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim -Rahimahullaah- said: ‘The chaste person has sweetness on their face, have kindness and friendliness in their heart, whoever sits with them finds them to be friendly. As for the one who commits Zina then his face is overwhelmed with gloom and strangeness, whoever sits with him finds him to be peculiar and feels strangeness from him.’ [Rowdat al-Muhibbeen 1/361] ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ https://t.me/thebeginningoftruth
