We particularly encourage the nomination and support of qualified women candidates who are committed to women’s rights and actively promote the participation of women in decision-making processes. " ሚስቱን ገድሎ ሊሰወር የሞከረዉ ግለሰብ በፖሊስና በሕብረተሰቡ ትብብር በቁጥጥር ስር ሊዉል ችሏል " - የጋሞ ዞን ፖሊስ በአርባ ምንጭ ከተማ ባለቤቱ ገድሎ ሊሰወር የነበረ ግለሰብ መያዙን ፖሊስ ገልጿል። የጋሞ ዞን ፖሊስ መምሪያ የሕዝብ ግንኙነት ዳይሬክተር ኮማንደር ሬታ ተክሉ ለቲክቫህ ኢትዮጵያ እንደገለፁት የወንጀል ድርጊቱ የተፈፀመዉ አርባ ምንጭ ከተማ ወዜ ቀበሌ ግድብ ሠፈር ነው። ኮማንደር ሬታ ፤ የገዛ ባለቤቱን በመሳሪያ ተኩሶ በመግደል ሊሰወር የሞከረዉ ተጠርጣሪ በሕዝቡና በፖሊስ ትብብር በቁጥጥር ስር መዋሉን ተናግረዋል። ተጠርጣሪው አቶ ነብዩ ጌታቸው ኤፍሬም እንደሚባልና ከሟች ጋር በትዳር ዓለም አብረዉ እንደነበሩ በመካከላቸዉ በነበረው አለመግባባት ሟች ወላጆቿ  ጋር በመሄድ ላለፉት 5 ወራት ከቤተሰቦቿ  ጋር ትኖር እንደነበር ገልፀዋል። በትናትናዉ ዕለት ተጠሪጣርዉ አስቦና አቅዶ ጧት 4 ሰዓት ገደማ " ላናግርሽ እፈልጋለሁ " በማለት ካስጠራት በኋላ ሰዉ የማያይበትን ሁኔታ በማመቻቸት በሽጉጥ አንገቷ ስር ደቅኖ ተኩሶ እንደ ገደላት አስረድተዋል። በኃላም ለመሸሸግና ለመሰወር ሲሞክር  በፖሊስ ክትትልና በሕብረተሰቡ ትብብር በቁጥጥር ስር ዉሎ ምርመራ እየተጣራበት እንደሚገኝ ተናግረዋል። ተጠርጣሪዉና ሟች በትዳር አብረዉ በነበሩበት ወቅት አንድ ልጅ አፍርተዉ እንደነበርም የፖሊስ መረጃ ያመለክታል። ተጠርጣሪዉ የወንጀል ድርጊቱን የፈፀመበትን ሽጉጥ ወንዝ ዉስጥ እንደጣለ ቢገልፅም ፖሊስ ባደረገዉ ማጣራት ከደበቀበት በኤግዚቢትነት ይዞታል። #TikvahEthiopiaFamilyHW @tikvahethiopia

Important Announcement: Alegnta Hotline Service Discontinued We are deeply saddened to announce that the Alegnta 6388 Hotline, run by Setaweet Movement since 2019, has been discontinued. Alegnta 6388 was a free-of-charge gender-based violence hotline that provided in-depth counseling and referral services for survivors. Since its launch in January 2019, the hotline has supported thousands of survivors of gender-based violence, domestic abuse, and individuals struggling with depression and other mental health challenges. Our anonymous and confidential service operated Monday to Saturday, ensuring accessibility for those in need. The Alegnta Hotline was born out of necessity—after hosting the #WhatSheWore exhibition, Setaweet was approached by scores of survivors who visited the office, called, or reached out via email and Facebook seeking support. Realizing the urgent demand for medical, legal, and psychosocial assistance, our team worked to assess existing services.
