በሴቶች የንፅህና መጠበቂያ ላይ ያለው የዋጋ ንረት ለሴቶች ፈተና ሆኗል። የአንድ ሞዴስ ዋጋ ከ50 እስከ 60 ብር ፤ አንዳንድ ቦታዎች እስከ 70 ብር ድረስ እየተሸጠ ስለመሆኑ ቲክቫህ ኢትዮጵያ የደረሱት መልዕክቶች ያሳያሉ። ከመጡ መልዕክቶች አንዱ " የንጽህና መጠበቂያ ለሴቶች መሰረታዊ ነገር ነው ነገር ግን በዋጋ ውድነት ምክንያት ለመግዛት ከፍተኛ ችግር እያየን ነው። መቼ ይሁን ይሄ ችግር የሚፈታው ? በተደጋጋሚ ጉዳዩ ተነስቶ ነበር ግን ምንም መፍትሄ አልተገኘም " ይላል። የሴቶችና ማህበራዊ ጉዳይ ሚኒስቴር ምን ይላል ? የሴቶች የንፅህና መጠበቂያ (ሞዴስ) ዋጋው በየጊዜው እየተወደደ መጥቷል። ለዚህ ተብሎ የሚመደብ በጀት ባለመኖሩም አቅርቦቱን ተደራሽ ለማድረግ እንቅፋት እንደሆነ ተገልጿል። በሴቶችና ማህበራዊ ጉዳይ ሚኒስቴር የሴቶች መብት ጽርሰት ባለሙያ የሆኑት ወይዘሪት ማኅሌት አማረ ለቲክቫህ ኢትዮጵያ እንደገለጹት በየጊዜው የዋጋ ንረቱ እየጨመረ ያለው በግብአት አቅርቦት ችግር ነው ሲሉ ተናግረዋል። ለዚህም ከውጪ ሀገር ከሚመጡ ግብአቶች ላይ የነበረውን ቀረጥ ከ30 ወደ 10 ዝቅ ቢደረግም ለውጥ ማምጣት አለመቻሉን አስረድተዋል። " አሁን ባለው የገበያ ዋጋ አንድ ሞዴስ ከ50 እስከ 60 ብር ነው " ያሉት ባለሙያዋ በዚህም ሴቶች ለወር አበባ ብለው የሚያስቀምጡት ገንዘብ ባለመኖሩ ለችግር እንደሚጋለጡ አንስተዋል። አክለውም " የንፅህና መጠበቂያዎች በሀገር ውስጥ የሚመረቱ ቢሆንም እንኳ በተለይም ጥሬ እቃው ከውጪ የሚመጣ በመሆኑ ሙሉ በሙሉ ከታክስ ነፃ ሆኖ እንዲገቡ ለማስቻል ከገንዘብ ሚኒስቴር ጋር የማመቻቸት ሥራዎች እየተሰሩ ነው " ብለዋል። " የንፅህና መጠበቂያዎች እንደ አንድ የህክምና ቁሳቁስ ተቆጥሮ በሁሉም የመድሀኒት ፋርማሲዎች ላይ እንድሸጥ ለማድረግ ከጤና ሚኒስቴር ጋር እየሰራን ነው " ሲሉም አስረድተዋል። ከዚሁ ጉዳይ ጋር አያይዘው ፥ " በወር አበባ ንፅህና አጠባበቅ ዙሪያ ዩኒሴፍ በ6 ክልሎች ላይ ጥናት አድርጎ ነበር " ያሉ ሲሆን " በጥናቱም በትምህርት ቤቶች ላይ ሴት ተማሪዎች ከፍተኛ የሆነ መገለል እየደረሰባቸው እንደሆነ አመላክቷል" ብለዋል። በተጨማሪም፤ " 56 በመቶ የሚሆኑት የሀገራችን ትምህርት ቤቶች ላይ ምንም አይነት ውሃ እንደማያገኙ እና 80 በመቶ የሚሆኑ ደግሞ ምንም አይነት የንፅህና መጠበቂያ ሰሙና የሌላቸው መሆኑን አረጋግጧል" ሲሉ ተናግረዋል። ተማሪዎች በትምህርት ቤቶች ውስጥ የወር አበባ በሚያዩበት ስዓት ለመማር ተቸግረዋል፣ ምቾት አይሰማቸውም፣ ማሸማቀቆች አሉ፣ የሞዴስ አቅርቦት የለም፣ የሚቀይሩበት መፀዳጃ ቤት Privacy የላቸውም፣ በዚህም ከፍተኛ ጫና እየደረሰባቸው እንደሆነ ተናግረዋል። ቲክቫህ ኢትዮጵያ አዲስ አበባ #TikvahEthiopiaFamilyAA Via @tikvahethmagazine

On May 6, 2025, we proudly celebrated the successful completion of a 12-week community circle discussion series in Hawassa and Yirgalem, as part of the Leddokie Project. This initiative, led by Setaweet in partnership with Talita Rise Up, is an extension of the Movement Building Project and is specifically designed to support married women in the Sidama Region. Over the past three months, participants gathered weekly to engage in thoughtful, empowering conversations focused on gender equality, personal growth, economic empowerment, and the strengthening of family and community bonds. The women involved showed exceptional enthusiasm and commitment throughout the journey, actively sharing experiences and learning together. Through these guided discussions, the mothers gained valuable knowledge and practical tools to enrich their lives. This impactful work has been made possible thanks to the generous support of Agence Française de Développement.
