🌸Important Notification🌸 Year 2024/2025 Subject: The Pink Stride Dear Guardians, L.O.I.S. is excited to announce a special activity in honor of World Breast Cancer Day for Grade 3 to Grade 6 boys, titled “The Pink Stride.” As part of this event, the learners will participate in a walk outside the school premises to show their support and solidarity with those fighting breast cancer. The walk will take place during their break time. L.O.I.S kindly asks that participants wear black training pants and white polo shirts or T-shirts for the activity. 🌸This is a wonderful opportunity for our learners to engage in an important cause, fostering empathy and awareness in a meaningful way.🌸

Please ensure your child adheres to the following guidelines for the trip: 📍 Uniform: Learners are required to wear their PE uniforms only. Jeans are prohibited. 📍 Arrival Time: All learners should arrive at school by 6:30 am. School buses will depart at 7:00 am. Late arrivals will not be permitted to join the trip. 📍 Transportation: School bus riders will use their regular buses to come to school. 📍 Meals: A meal will be provided for each learner. 📍 Dismissal Time: Learners will be dismissed at their regular time. 📍 Safety: Electronic dismissal cards must be sent with your child to ensure their safety. 📍 Health: If your child is sick, please keep them at home. The trip fee will be refunded. 📍 Attendance: The trip is a designated school activity. The success of the school depends on the positive and constructive collaboration between learners, guardians, and educators, and we are committed to providing the best educational experience for your children in a safe and respectful environment. Recently, we have observed some behaviors that could negatively impact this positive environment, such as verbal misconduct towards school staff, drivers, and security guards. These behaviors have led to the previous security company declining to continue working with us due to a lack of cooperation and the transgressions they faced. While we understand that some situations can be stressful, we believe that calm and respectful behavior is the best solution to overcome such challenges. In this context, we would like to emphasize some important points to enhance the spirit of cooperation and mutual respect: 1. Security and Safety: We have contracted a new security company to ensure everyone’s safety and manage traffic flow. Therefore, we kindly ask for your full cooperation with the security personnel and to follow their instructions regarding parking or any other safety-related matters, as their main goal is to protect your children. A group of school staff drivers has also been assigned to help manage traffic. We ask that you treat them courteously and refrain from using inappropriate language, as they are here to serve you and your children. Surveillance cameras have been installed at all gates and within the school to ensure a secure environment. If any misconduct towards school staff occurs, appropriate legal actions will be taken, which may include a fine of up to SAR 10,000, as stipulated by the laws regarding assault on staff during work. 2. Services Provided to Guardians: To ensure your comfort, we have installed shade structures at all gates, which is a feature not found in many other schools. A mist cooling system has been installed to reduce the heat. Additionally, we have implemented modern systems to ensure learners exit safely, without relying solely on verbal announcements. These services are provided to ensure your comfort and your children’s safety, and they are not available in most schools. Guidelines and barriers have been set up to organize the card-inserting process (guardians are responsible for inserting the cards, not the school staff). Please follow the process: after inserting the card and receiving the numbered slip, proceed to the designated waiting and parking areas. We kindly ask you to respect the areas assigned for men, women, and learners and to give women priority while waiting to avoid overcrowding. 3. Learner Arrival and Departure Times: Please adhere to the learner drop-off and pick-up times to ensure smooth operations. You can monitor the time recorded for card insertion through the system’s printed documents. 4. Waiting for Learner Dismissal: We understand that waiting can be challenging, but the dismissal process usually takes between 10 to 15 minutes after the card is inserted. We kindly ask for your patience and to give learners enough time to exit from their respective classrooms. Please remind your children to listen for their names being called and to head directly to the gates without engaging in play. 5. Supervision of Younger Learners: We sometimes observe younger children being left unsupervised in unsafe areas. If a child is found without supervision, they will be returned to the school, and the guardian or driver will be asked to sign a commitment not to repeat this, for the safety of all learners. Learners from Grades 4 to 9 can identify the person authorized to pick them up. Please remind them not to leave with anyone other than the designated person.
