#DailyHadith: Anas b. Malik reported: The Paradise is surrounded by hardships and the Hell-Fire is surrounded by temptations. (Muslim)

#SpiritualTreasures: It should be borne in mind here that the ideas based solely on reason suffer not only from the defect that they fall short of the stages of certainty and cannot comprehend the finer points of theological matters, but they also suffer from another defect; namely, that discourses based solely upon reason are largely ineffective and futile in persuading the heart. (BarĀhĪn-e-aHmadiyya — Part Four, p. 71)

#DailyHadith: Narrated Zaid bin Khalid: A man came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and asked about Al-Luqata (a fallen thing). The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Recognize its container and its tying material and then make a public announcement about it for one year and if its owner shows up, give it to him; otherwise use it as you like." The man said, "What about a lost sheep?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "It is for you, your brother or the wolf." The man said "What about a lost camel?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Why should you take it as it has got its water-container (its stomach) and its hooves and it can reach the places of water and can eat the trees till its owner finds it?" (Bukhari)

#SpiritualTreasures: Moses received the treasure which had been lost by the earlier ages, and Mohammad received the treasure which the Movement of Moses had been unfortunate enough to lose. Now the movement of Mohammad stands in the place of the Movement of Moses, but such that in grandeur, the like of Moses, exceeds him a thousand times, while the like of the Messiah in the Movement of Mohammad excells Jesus by a thousand measures. (Our Teaching, p. 7)

#DailyHadith: Abdullah b. Abi Aufa reported: We were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) on a journey during the month of Ramadan. When the sun had sunk he said: So and so, get down (from your ride) and prepare the meal of parched barley for us. He said: Messenger of Allah, still (there is light of) day. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Get down and prepare meal of parched barley for us. So he got down and prepared the meal of parched barley and offered him, and the apostle of Allah (ﷺ) drank that (liquid meal). He then told with the gesture of his hand that when the sun sank from that side and the night appeared from that side, then the observer of the fast should break it. (Muslim)

#SpiritualTreasures: A hallmark of the soul at rest is that its condition is independent of any external stimulus and it simply cannot survive without God. This is the very purpose of human existence, and so should it be. An idle person looks to activities such as hunting, chess and cards, etc. However, when the soul at rest separates itself from unlawful preoccupations, temporary enjoyments, and activities which often result in grief and pain, why then would it long for the world it has left behind? For this very reason, God alone becomes the centre of love. (Malfuzat – Volume I, p. 108)

#DailyHadith: Ka'b bin 'Iyad narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Indeed there is a fitnah for every Ummah, and the Fitnah for my Ummah is wealth." (Tirmidhi)

#SpiritualTreasures: No other Prophet, except for our Messenger, peace and salutations be upon him, was confronted with a situation where he was promised something in exchange for refraining from carrying out the work of his ministry. The Messiah was not faced with such circumstances. In the history of the world, only the Holy Prophet was met with an offer of sovereignty to step away from performing his duty. This honour is specific to our Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. (Malfuzat - Volume I, p. 16)

#DailyHadith: Iyas bin Abi Ramlah Ash-Shami said “I heard a man asking Zaid bin Arqam (ra), ‘Were you present with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) when there were two ‘Eid on one day?’ He said: ‘Yes.’ He said: ‘What did he do?’ He said: ‘He prayed the ‘Eid prayer, then he granted a concession not to pray the Friday, then he said: “Whoever wants to pray (Friday), let him do so.”’” (Ibn Majah)

#SpiritualTreasures: Through the one moment of repentance that melts the heart, He can forgive the sins spread over seventy years. Do not say that repentance is not accepted. Remember that you cannot be saved by your deeds. It is grace that saves and not deeds. Benevolent and Merciful Lord, bestow Thy grace upon all of us. We are Thy servants and have fallen down upon Thy threshold. Amin. (Essence of Islam Vol. 2 p. 248), p. 248)

#DailyHadith: Narrated Ibn `Umar (ra) that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) sent an army unit headed by Usama bin Zaid (ra) and the people criticized his leadership. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "If you are criticizing his leadership now, then you used to criticize his father's leadership before. By Allah, he (Usama's father) deserved the leadership and used to be one of the most beloved persons to me, and now his son (Usama) is one of the most beloved persons to me after him. " (Bukhari)

#SpiritualTreasures: Unlike the Gospel, the Quran does not only forbid you from being angry with your brothers without due reason. Rather, it instructs you not only to suppress your own anger but to act upon [the Quranic verse] 'And exhort one another to mercy' [Quran, 90:18], and exhort others to follow this example as well. Not only should you have mercy on others, but advise your brothers to do the same. (Noah's Ark, p. 48)

#DailyHadith: Narrated Tarif Abi Tamima that I saw Safwan and Jundab and Safwan's companions when Jundab (ra) was advising. They said, "Did you hear something from Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)?" Jundab said, "I heard him saying, 'Whoever does a good deed in order to show off, Allah will expose his intentions on the Day of Resurrection, and whoever puts the people into difficulties, Allah will put him into difficulties on the Day of Resurrection.'" The people said (to Jundab), "Advise us." He said, "The first thing of the human body to purify is the `Abdomen, so he who can eat nothing but good food (Halal and earned lawfully) should do so, and he who does as much as he can that nothing intervene between him and Paradise by not shedding even a handful of blood, should do so." (Bukhari)

#SpiritualTreasures: Perfect praise is offered for two kinds of excellences, fullness of beauty and fullness of beneficence. If anyone possesses both these excellences, one's heart becomes enamoured of him. The principal function of the Holy Qur’an is to display both these excellences of God, so that people may be drawn towards that Being Who has no equal or like, and should worship Him with the eager- ness of their souls. (The Essence of Islam Vol. 1, p. 92)

#DailyHadith: Narrated Anas bin Malik (ra) that we used to pray with the Prophet (ﷺ) in scorching heat, and if someone of us could not put his face on the earth (because of the heat) then he would spread his clothes and prostrate over them. (Bukhari)

#SpiritualTreasures: Ask your hearts yourselves how much they desire the attainment of certainty. Can your own gloomy thoughts fully satisfy your hearts? Do your souls not desire that you attain the level of perfect certainty in this very world, and that you be delivered from blindness? Tell me honestly, do you not wish to remove your darkness and confusion, and to clear the doubts concealed within your bosoms, which you cannot even disclose? So, if you possess any zeal for divine cognizance, then know for certain that the divine law of nature governing this world is only this: He has appointed one instrument or another for acquiring or searching for everything. The only function of reason is that it proves the need of this instrument, but it cannot serve itself as that instrument... And the instrument that leads to this highest stage of certainty [of God] is the Word of God, through which man comes to know with absolute certainty about the existence of God and His perfect attributes as well as the world of reward and punishment. (BarĀhĪn-e-aHmadiyya — Part Four, p. 162, 164)

#DailyHadith: Abd al-Rahman b. Samura reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Do not swear by idols, nor by your fathers. (Muslim)

#SpiritualTreasures: I was shown a place which was named Bahishti Maqbarah [The Heavenly Graveyard], and it was conveyed to me that it contained the graves of such righteous members of the Jama‘at as are destined to dwell in heaven. Since then I have always been concerned that a piece of land should be bought for the purposes of the graveyard... I have, therefore, proposed that a piece of land out of my own property which is adjacent to our orchard and the price of which is no less than a thousand rupees, be used for this purpose. (The Will, p. 22)

#DailyHadith: Narrated Ibn `Abbas: Once the Prophet (ﷺ) embraced me (pressed me to his chest) and said, "O Allah, teach him wisdom (i.e. the understanding of the knowledge of Qur'an). (Bukhari)

#SpiritualTreasures: Salat is the soul of bounties. The grace of God Almighty is received through the Salat. Then observe it duly so that you might become heirs to the bounties of God Almighty. (Essence of Islam Vol. 2 p. 308), p. 308)
