Day 2. Carry out

Fluency before Accuracy If you want to improve your speaking skills, focus on fluency first, not accuracy. Many English learners pause again and again because they are afraid of making grammar mistakes. As a result, their speech becomes slow, unnatural, and even boring to listen to. The truth is simple: Fluency comes first. Accuracy comes later. As you speak more and become more fluent, your grammar will naturally improve step by step. So remember this powerful mantra: “Connection, not perfection.” The goal of English is not to speak perfectly. The goal is to connect and communicate with people. Don’t wait for perfect English. Start speaking today.

If you keep up with news in English, this small habit will make a huge difference)

Vocabulary versus Grammar If you want immediate results in your English, learning vocabulary is the best way. Why!? Since you can articulate your thoughts with vocabulary without using grammar. For example, He eat egg restaurant morning. In this sentence, there are no grammar rules but we can understand the meaning that someone ate eggs at a restaurant in the morning. However, without vocabulary, we never could explain our thoughts because every sentence contains vocabulary which makes our ideas meaningful. That's why I recommend that we should learn only one grammar rule on a daily basis, unlike vocabulary, which is memorized in set of 10-15 on a day.

The table in the picture above was my motivation when I studied for my bachelor's degree at medical university. After getting a seven band score certificate, I applied for this scholarship which is worth UZS 570,000. Once I got into the university for a master's degree, I knew that if my level of English is a 7.5, I will be able to receive another bigger scholarship which is UZS 1,806,000. This news inspired me to achieve that level and I made it happen.

If listening to podcasts plays a significant role in learning English, how long must we do this habit on a day?! According to native English teachers, an hour of listening podcasts has a huge impact on our English, in particular, in the long-run. Ps. It's been a year and half since I started learning English, and, in this period, I never left every single day without listening to Luke's English podcast.
