Is it too early to say "I told you so"? 😬

The vile Putinist conman Milo Yiannopoulos – who married his boyfriend in Hawaii and later described himself as an 'ex-gay' – has been detained by US immigration (ICE) and faces deportation. Given that he's such a fan of the Kremlin, perhaps he should ask to be deported to Russia so that he can find out how 'based' it is. We can certainly do without scum like Milo in Britain.

When it comes to people who see themselves ideologically as nationalists quitting Restore, there is no shame in doing that, BUT there must also be a realisation that joining it to begin with was a mistake. The reason why this is important is because if that realisation isn't made, then inevitably the second Restore Mk 2 appears, then many of those people will just repeat the exact same thing AGAIN. It is similar to someone being scammed into buying counterfeit goods at what appear like amazing bargain prices from a flea market trader: It isn't their fault they got scammed, but if they don't come to the realisation that they should never have trusted that to begin with, then they will just be scammed again in short order. Acceptance of some kind of responsibility is the only path to true liberation.

The only disagreement I have with this is the incessant tired trope of "boomer nationalism". This doesn't exist. The attempt to define these important ideological difference in generational terms reflects only the blinkers of terminally online nationalists who lack any experience of real politics. Aside from this error, the points made here are very sound.

If people genuinely do see themselves as nationalists, then they must not act like political gypsies and just doing whatever seems expedient at the time, including going into workhouses for Tories, Zionists, and Liberals. The price they will pay is that, like gypsies, they will end up hated by everyone and kicked out of everywhere, wandering forever and being abandoned by society. Of course the Yabloko party is in many other respects not compatible with European nationalism: Yabloko is essentially a liberal party. Nevertheless, III Weg is quite right to point to the hypocrisy of the various parties on both 'left' and 'right' who are very quick to complain about state repression in other circumstances but who will never say a word against their good friends (and in too many cases paymasters) in the Kremlin, when a party is banned purely for opposing Putin's genocidal anti-European war.
