Why can’t poor people become rich? Because they’re lazy? No. Bcz sometimes, being poor is one of the most expensive things in the world.

I just got this & thought it was interesting, so let me share it with you guys.

so think about rocket science. To escape Earth’s gravity, a rocket needs to reach a certain speed called escape velocity 🫥. It can get really close. 99% of the way there.😢 But if it doesn’t actually reach that threshold, it still falls back. And poverty can feel kinda similar 🙄. work hard, save a little, start making progress… then sth happens: rent goes up, or a medical emergency happens. Back to zero💀😭 And it's not always just “bad luck.” It's maybe bcz....... Being poor can actually be more expensive. can't always buy things in bulk, so you pay more per item, so ended up paying more for everything. and actually this is part of Vimes’ Boots Theory. so the idea is like: when U can only afford cheap things, U can end up spending more than someone who can afford the expensive. And it doesn't just affect wallet, it can also change how the brain works. constant financial stress makes to stop thinking long term n focus on solving today's problem. so it only becomes abt survival. So yeah… sometimes getting out isn't just about “working hard.” need enough momentum to finally escape the loop. May we all reach this damn escape velocity soon. Aminnnn😭🤲 @techy_muslimah

Why do you imagine yourself failing more easily than succeeding? Have you ever noticed this? You can have a 50% chance of succeeding and a 50% chance of failing… but somehow, your mind starts preparing for the failure first. 😭 "What if it doesn't work?" "What if I lose my money?" "What if people laugh at me?" "What if I’m just not capable?" And suddenly, the failure feels more likely than the success, even when both technically have the same probability. But why do we do this? There’s actually a thing in psychology called loss aversion. Our brain tends to give more weight to a loss than to an equal gain. I mean like for eg: the $100 loss feels substantially worse than the $100 gain feels good. So even when success and failure have the same probability, failure can feel more likely. And I think that’s kinda crazy because sometimes we’re not actually afraid of failing... We just got too good at imagining it. 😭 This is one of the ideas behind Prospect Theory, developed by Daniel Kahneman and make him 2002 Nobel Prize winner. Anyways its just to say we're imagining the worst-case scenario really well, but we better not. @techy_muslimah

- If ur selling to a saturated market, hv a clear difference. - If ur selling to a new category, educate ur customers. - If ur selling to a high trust industry, hv credibility signals. - If ur selling to a low trust industry, hv proof and specifics. - If ur selling to B2B, sell time n ROI. - If ur selling to B2C, sell identity and status. And remember ppl will a premium to escape hell and will negotiate to enter heaven. 😉 @techy_muslimah

Just finished a monthly report and honestly… I realized sth: How can one month hold so much? 😭 I mean, If I wasn’t working, I genuinely don’t know how I’d even notice a month passing by. 😂 There’s really so much barakah in one month when you actually use it. Sometimes we think we need years to make progress, when maybe we just need to start paying attention to what we’re doing with the days we already have. One month can be a LOT.
