So, Today I had a conversation with a millionaire. We were just talking normally. He asked what I study, I told him software engineering, then he asked how things were going. I mentioned that I had started doing some side hustles. He stopped me n said: “Let me honestly give you an advice.” I said okay. “Stop doing anything else. Focus exclusively on your education. Just learn. Everything else will come at its time. There is no hurry.” he said. am sitting there thinking “Brother… have you SEEN the world I'm entering??” 😭 what the hell Like how do I explain that: A degree doesn't automatically create leverage anymore. Especially in software. somebody can graduate with a degree and still have: no portfolio no practical experience no network no communication skills no understanding of business no ability to sell yourself no proof that you can actually build anything Anyways, eventually we hv agreed da skill matters more. So basically there are 5 main ways to get customers: 1. U reach out to ppls privately so u do outreach → Cold calls, emails, DMs. 2. That u make content → Post useful content so potential customers discover and trust you organically. 3. Paid ads → Pay to put your offer in front of the right audience and scale what works. 4. Strategic partnerships n affiliates → Partner with businesses that already have your target customers and get introductions. 5. Customers tell other customers, period. @techy_muslimah
