There’s something decidedly “odd” about this story. Here we have a Sinister poison pen letter threatening both republicans and Muslims, but there’s a problem here as there are no republicans nor Muslims in Clough! The “village” comprises a small housing estate, an orange hall and a garage/shop, completely loyalist and wholly unremarkable save for the fact it’s jotted along the main road from Belfast to the Co. Down coast. We rather suspect that this correspondence emirates from republican Downpatrick, ten minutes away, Bluntly there are no Celtic or GAA tops, nor are there Muslims and the threat of action begs the question as to what or whom such action would be directed? A rather tattered and foolhardy false flag on the part of our far left friends!

The cancer of sectarianism again at play, the tribes are externally threatened yet a blinkered and medieval mindset sees pointless and malicious attacks on individuals and their property based upon theological perceptions. What’s wicked and coming our way will not be concerned about flags or football tops.
