The Anglo Saxon Inguz rune shares an etymological root with the Celtic term ankus and the Celtic psychopomp Ankou; PIE nkús, to perish. It’s fitting that the Inguz rune looks like a mirrored ēðel rune; depicting the ancestors in the underworld, as well as new life and reincarnation. ᛝ
