በየዓመቱ የሕክምና አቅም መሻሻሎች በሕይወት የመቆየት ድንበርን ከጊዜ ወደ ጊዜ ወደፊት እያገፉት ይገኛሉ። ቀደም ሲል ለመኖር በጣም ደካማ ናቸው ተብለው ይታሰቡ የነበሩ ሕፃናት አሁን ላይ እያደጉና እየጎለበቱ ይገኛሉ — ይህም ዕድል ሲሰጠው ''ሕይወት'' መንገድ እንደሚያገኝ ማረጋገጫ ነው።
እውነታ፡ በቅርቡ በዩናይትድ ስቴትስ የተደረገ ጥናት እንደሚያሳየው በ22 ሳምንታቸው ተወልደው ድህረ-ወሊድ የሕይወት ድጋፍ ከተደረገላቸው ሕፃናት መካከል ከ3ቱ አንዱ ድነው ከሆስፒታል ወጥተዋል — ይህ ቁጥር ደግሞ የጨቅላ ሕፃናት ሕክምና እያደገ ሲሄድ እየጨመረ ይገኛል።
እኛ ፓላህ ኢትዮጵያ (Palah Ethiopia) እያንዳንዱ እርግዝና ያንን ዕድል ማግኘት አለበት ብለን እናምናለን። ማንኛዋም እናት መውጫ መንገድ ስላላየች ብቻ በሕፃኗ ላይ ተስፋ ለመቁረጥ እንዳትገደድ ከጎኗ ነን — በድጋፍ እና በተስፋ አብረናት እንጓዛለን።
