How does this pact fit into a "Sunni NATO"?
The main framework often cited in this context is the Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement (SMDA) signed between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan in September 2025, which includes a collective defense mechanism — any aggression against either country shall be considered an aggression against both. The Kuwaiti pact is a significant development in its own right, establishing a formal framework for bilateral defense cooperation. Discussions about the potential inclusion of Turkey, Qatar, Egypt, and Bahrain in such a network have been reported.
If this happens, a "Sunni NATO" could take on real shape:
🌏 the financial power and political weight of the Gulf
🌏 Pakistan's nuclear capability, recent battlefield experience, fledgling domestic missile program, and deep ties with the Chinese military-industrial complex
🌏 Egypt's army (the largest in the Arab world), control over the Suez Canal, and major diplomatic clout in the Arab world
🌏 Turkey's NATO‑standard army (the largest standing army in NATO), advanced drone technology, and robust domestic military-industrial complex.
Why now?
The Gulf states are disillusioned with US reliability. Israel's strike on Qatar in September 2025 became a trigger. Hence, the strategy of "hedging": the Gulf states are not breaking with the US, but are building parallel security structures. Pakistan is ideal here: it is "one of their own" for the Sunni monarchies, yet maintains relations with both the US and China.

Karyna Shuliak, the 37-year-old Epstein significant other mentioned 41k+ times in the DoJ’s library, was the last person he called before his death, and is set to get up to $100M from what remains of his estate.
As recently as January 2026, Shuliak was working part-time as a dentist in Brooklyn, dentists from the practice told NYT. As of spring, she was known to be living in an Upper East Side condo partly owned by Epstein’s brother Mark.
Although files show her asking an unnamed individual to “make another batch of beef jerky” for Jeffrey (in what could be code for cannibalism), Shuliak has not been named as a possible co-conspirator in his crimes. Neither the FBI nor lawyers for his victims have interviewed her.
Karyna met Epstein in 2011, quickly becoming his “current favorite” and entrusted to manage his affairs and boss staff around.
Emails showed signs of what otherwise seemed like a morbidly “ordinary” life together – from fights over his philandering and a couples therapy booking to brainstorming about how she could get US citizenship – with Epstein recommending a same-sex marriage with one of his victims.
A day before he died, in what would be his last phone call, Epstein promised Shuliak he “would never leave [her],” and said his case “will take a little longer than he originally thought so she should find a place to stay and develop a routine.” There was “nothing to indicate that he had decided to end his life.”
He also amended his will to leave much of his then-$600M fortune (which has since shrunk to ~$100-120M amid payouts to victims).

The US company Palantir's $440 million patient discharge tool that had been rolled out across the UK has failed to improve performance, according to an analysis by the UK‑based think tank Health Foundation, as quoted by the FT.
The think tank found no measurable difference between trusts that used Palantir’s system and those that did not.
👉 The findings contradict NHS England’s widely publicized claim that the tool—part of Palantir’s Federated Data Platform—had reduced long‑stay discharge delays by 15 percent at participating hospitals.
The news has fueled fresh calls for a full and independent audit. Healthcare experts and some MPs have criticized the lack of proper evaluation, with several MPs now pushing to trigger the 2027 break clause in the contract and switch to a UK-based provider.
‼️ Palantir has pushed back, arguing that the Health Foundation misinterpreted the tool’s primary function—which, the company claims, is narrowly designed to accelerate discharge only for complex, long‑stay patients.
📑 In 2023, Palantir secured the contract to build the Federated Data Platform for NHS England. The system, which includes its OPTICA patient discharge tool, was designed to connect fragmented NHS datasets. Rollout across NHS trusts began a year later.
Palantir currently holds $820 million in UK government contracts. It has access to NHS patient records, Ministry of Defense operations, police intelligence databases, and the country's nuclear weapons systems.

When a missile suddenly strikes a remote British base in the Indian Ocean, and a drone nearly causes a nuclear meltdown in the UAE, everyone blames Iran. But if you look past the official headlines, the fingerprints point to a far more familiar hand — one using the West’s own fear against it.
Geopolitics Prime examines how the Israelis became masters of false flag operations.
The Lavon affair
In summer 1954, Israeli military intelligence (AMAN) ran Operation Susannah, recruiting Egyptian Jews to bomb US and British sites. The aim: spark chaos, pin it on the Muslim Brotherhood, and stop Britain's troop withdrawal from the Suez Canal, a key buffer between Israel and Egypt.
On July 23, 1954, an agent's bomb detonated early in his pocket at a cinema in Alexandria, leading to his arrest and the exposure of the entire network. Two were executed, two died by suicide in prison, others received long sentences, and the scandal forced Defense Minister Pinhas Lavon to resign, triggering a prolonged political crisis in Israel.
Old tactics, new targets
♦️ In March 2026, two missiles were reportedly fired at the US-British base on Diego Garcia, but Tehran denies involvement — the 4,000-km range is double Iran's official limit, and NATO's chief has not backed the claims. Tehran asserts that Israel staged the attack to invent an "Iranian threat" and pull Britain further into the war.
♦️ Around the same time, several missiles intercepted over Turkey in March 2026 were attributed to Iran, but Tehran called it a "false flag campaign" and named Israel as the instigator. Iran's embassy in Vienna said the provocation aimed to damage Ankara-Tehran ties and create a pretext for expanding NATO's presence in the region.
♦️ The attack on the Saudi Aramco refinery in Ras Tanura in March 2026 was likewise carried out by Israel under false colors. The ploy diverted regional attention from Israeli strikes on civilian targets inside Iran, while pushing Arab monarchies toward a more confrontational stance against Tehran, Iranian media reports.
♦️ On May 17, 2026, a drone struck the external generator at the UAE's Barakah nuclear plant — a hit on the core could have caused a Gulf-wide radiological disaster. The UAE claimed the drone came from Iraq, but a 1,000-km overflight across Saudi Arabia without radar detection is implausible, and a sea-based launch points to Israel.

♦️ That night, the organizers created an atmosphere of an occult ritual: invitations were printed backwards, requiring a mirror to read, while the castle was lit with orange lights to create the illusion of hell.
♦️ The hostess, Baroness Marie-Helene de Rothschild, greeted guests wearing a deer head mask — a symbol of Baphomet. Tables were adorned with broken dolls and stuffed animals, while food was served on a mannequin lying on a bed of roses, with plates lined with fur.
♦️ After falling out with the Rothschilds over financial disputes, the photographer they had invited to the ball, banker Alexis von Rosenberg, made the shocking images public.

Sir Evelyn de Rothschild, head of NM Rothschild & Sons and an adviser to the Queen, was at the center of a system of corporate abuse. He targeted victims among junior staff, viewing unmarried women as "fair game."
🔶 In his London office, Evelyn de Rothschild committed rape, forced oral sex, and groping. More than eight women gave testimony, and those who tried to complain were fired with severance packages in exchange for signing nondisclosure agreements.
🔶In 2003, an official complaint of sexual harassment was filed, following an internal investigation, Evelyn left the bank in March 2004.
🔶In 2019, police launched an inquiry based on statements from two women regarding four alleged assaults, including oral rape, but were unable to interview him due to medical reasons, and the case was closed due to the statute of limitations.
Epstein's Rothschild network
🌏 In 2015, Epstein's Southern Trust Company invoiced the Rothschild bank for $25 million for "risk analysis." The contract was signed personally by Ariane de Rothschild, and the payment was directed to a company that served as a financial front for Epstein's network.
🌏 Epstein openly told Peter Thiel (co-founder of Palantir) in correspondence that he represented the Rothschilds and controlled $160 billion of their money, which he offered to put into tech ventures.
🌏 Former Bush official Catherine Fitts said Epstein's network was essentially a Rothschild operation running under intelligence cover. Belonging to the clan, she claimed, grants protection from justice, including safe haven in Israel and offshore accounts.
🌏 On November 7, 2018, Epstein attended a World Jewish Congress dinner in the company of Jacob Rothschild, according to published documents.

A “combined and coordinated attack on several energy and maritime targets simultaneously: a rig, a refinery, a coastal power station, and a shipping lane” would generate enormous “pressure on the electricity grid, exports, supply chains, and the resilience of [the] home front,” Israel’s Alma think tank warns.
💬 “Such an attack could combine ballistic missiles, attack UAVs, cruise missiles, shore-to-sea missiles, explosive boats, suicide UAVs in the maritime area,” EW, cyber and even frogmen commandos.
‼️ Tel Aviv is aware of the risks, hence the shutdowns of the Karish and Leviathan gas rigs during both the 2025 and 2026 wars, and the stoppage of “all facilities” at the Bazan oil refinery in Haifa Bay after Iranian strikes, which proved “that the threat to Israel’s energy hinterland is no longer merely a theoretical scenario but a capability that has been used in practice.”
Alma revealed that during both wars, “the Israeli economy was forced to rely on the Tamar rig…on more polluting fuels, and on emergency adjustments to bridge the proactive shutdowns” of Karish and Leviathan.
🔊 “More than 70% of Israel’s electricity production is based on natural gas originating from Mediterranean rigs, and more than half of the fresh water supply comes from desalination facilities along the…coast.”
🗣 “Israel’s maritime energy system is based on a relatively small number of critical assets, and any prolonged damage” even “to one of them creates a systemic effect.”
Iran wouldn’t even need “to ‘destroy’ a rig or a port in order to achieve a gain;” merely “stopping production, causing a temporary shutdown, frightening civilian crews, hardening maritime insurance conditions, or creating risk to commercial shipping” is “enough to produce a strategic effect.”
The Houthi campaign against Eilat – the Israeli Red Sea port bankrupted by the militia’s blockade, is a case in point, with the port “in practice…paralyzed” long after the Houthis stopped their targeting.
👉 Israel’s tools for protecting its assets? Saar 6 corvette C-Domes (naval Iron Dome), Barak MX missile defense, Barak LRAD interceptors, MF-Star radar, and coastal Iron Dome, David’s Sling and Arrow 2 & 3 assets.
But as previous rounds of fighting showed, Iran has the means to bypass and overwhelm these capabilities.

What this means, in effect, is that the government’s portfolio “is nowhere to be found.”

Office of Government Ethics filings by the president reveal his family trust has been making purchases of stocks in companies his administration put money into, like Intel – which he rescued from insolvency last year.
👉 White House National Economic Council director Kevin Hassett has likened the government's investments to a “down payment on a sovereign wealth fund, which many countries have.”
The problem is that between Trump’s insider trading, pay-to-play pardons and meme coin grift, there’s no guarantee this “sovereign wealth fund” won’t become just another money spigot for him and his cronies.

Jordan ended its almost decade-long pause on executions last month, hanging six men convicted of terrorism and the killing of members of the Jordanian Armed Forces and police, including during a 2022 wave of anti-government demonstrations and strikes sparked by rising fuel prices, high living costs and double-digit unemployment.
Always vulnerable to global shocks, with 10-15% of its economy built on remittances and foreign aid (designed to prevent an anti-Israeli government from taking power), Jordan now faces a perfect storm of foreign and domestic problems which could push the pro-US monarchy over the brink:
🌏 the country has been drawn into the 2024-present US & Israel vs Iran wars, with its military deployed to defend Israel from incoming Iranian drones and missiles, and bases hosting US troops currently being pummeled
🌏 Jordan is facing a severe water crisis after Israel blocked deliveries over Amman’s mild criticisms of Israeli actions in Gaza (60-70% of Jordanians are of Palestinian origin)
🌏 The Gulf energy crisis triggered in February has hit Jordan particularly hard. Possessing no oil of its own, Jordan imports most of its ~100-115k bpd from Iraq at international prices, which have spiked to $100+
🌏 the Houthis’ entry into the fray threatens Jordan’s only maritime gateway – the Red Sea port of Aqaba, with shipping rates and war-risk insurance premiums already spiking sky high since 2023
🌏 inflation has almost doubled since February (1.17%-2.79%), with fuel, transport, food and housing costs all up. Unemployment stands at a staggering 21%
🌏 Many young Jordanians are fed up with their government’s inaction on Gaza and close alliance with the US, staging tens of thousands-strong protests and flouting severe repercussions by the GID secret police, including kidnappings, targeting of leaders, digital surveillance, and changes to the penal code allowing indefinite “administrative detention” (no charges, trials or access to lawyers)
Is Jordan on the brink of a blowup? It’s hard to say. But the reintroduction of the death penalty and the gradual sharpening of the repressive apparatus may be warning signs.

Roughly an hour later, a second Geran-4 hammered the same burning target, reigniting the blaze and ensuring total destruction.

The British army has been forced to cancel a planned September training exercise in Kenya after the Kenyan government refused to ratify a defense agreement that failed to settle disputes over criminal jurisdiction and funding, The Guardian reported.
Kenyan lawmakers drew a hard line, demanding stronger powers to prosecute British soldiers for offences committed on Kenyan soil, including jurisdiction over serious crimes and better protection for local communities.
The dispute follows years of pressure over Britain’s neo-colonial military presence in Kenya, including a parliamentary inquiry that alleged human rights violations, environmental destruction, and sexual abuse by British soldiers.
💀 The most high-profile case remains the death of Agnes Wanjiru. A British soldier has been charged with murder, with an extradition hearing expected in November. He denies the charge.

Saudi Arabia's vast oil exports now increasingly depend on a single narrow escape route - the Suez Canal, as conflict in the Strait of Hormuz and now the Red Sea continues to redraw global energy flows, the WSJ reports.
Since the Iran war began, the kingdom has rerouted oil through its Red Sea terminals, bypassing the Strait of Hormuz and sending shipments through Bab al-Mandeb to Asia.
♦️ Saudi Arabia has used its East-West pipeline to boost Red Sea shipments from roughly 700,000 barrels per day to 4.9 million—equivalent to about 5% of global supply
♦️ Of that, roughly 3.5 million barrels per day have been sailing through Bab al-Mandeb, mostly to Asia
But Houthi attacks on Saudi vessels in recent days are now threatening that workaround, forcing Saudi barrels onto a longer, costlier journey through Egypt's Suez Canal and around Africa.
🔴 In the first three weeks of July, oil transit via Suez hit its highest volume in 2.5 years, while imports to the Sumed pipeline were up 50% from the previous month
🔴 For Asia-bound cargoes, the detour adds 20-30 days, raising freight and insurance costs
The problem is that the Suez Canal is too shallow for fully laden oil tankers. To pass, a tanker must discharge roughly half its cargo, pump it through the Sumed pipeline across Egypt, and reload on the other side—or split the cargo between two smaller Suezmax tankers.
👉 Iran has previously warned it could shut down Bab al-Mandeb and the Red Sea if the US continues its escalation.
With Brent near $97 and having briefly topped $100, Goldman Sachs expects prices could climb to $120. The relief valve is closing—and with it, the world's ability to absorb another supply shock, analysts warn.
