I’ve been connecting some dots on this oil fiasco and I reckon I know where it’ll go. Basically, covid was a dress rehearsal. The real crisis will emerge out of this fuel shortage. Even if the shortage is initially real but ultimately avoidable, I think they’ll maintain the perception of a crisis for the next couple of years and beyond, until society is completely reformed. In his book ‘The Great Reset’ founder of the World Economic Forum Klaus Schwab argues for a society of “permanent lockdowns” and says an energy / environmental crisis would be the best way to impose it. Pretty soon I reckon politicians will shift from pretending everything is fine and that there’s plenty of fuel, to saying “well, we shouldn’t be using gas and oil anyway” and begin imposing various restrictions on movement and consumption. This whole situation presents a unique opportunity for elites to impose a whole new regime of “regional lockdowns”, UBI and food rationing, and they’re not gonna waste it. Pretty soon, the ‘racist’ or ‘anti-vaxxer’ (read: major dissident) category is gonna include anyone who wants to drive a car. I expect it’ll begin with that “2 weeks to flatten the curve” thing, but it’ll go on until the old world is dead.
