የደቡብ ኢትዮጵያ ሲኖዶስ ዘጠነኛ መደበኛ ጉባኤውን ከየካቲት 21-22, 2016 ዓ.ም በደቡብ ጉጂ ዞን፣ ቡሌ ሆራ ከተማ አካሂዷል። * * * * * * * በጉባኤውም በሲኖዶሱ ባለፉት ዓራት ዓመታት የተከናወኑ የወንጌል አገልግሎት፣ የምዕመናን ጥበቃ እና የፋይናንስ ፍሰት የተመለከቱ ሪፖርቶች ቀርበው ውይይቶች እና ምክክሮች ተደርገውባቸዋል። ለቀጣዩም አራት ዓመታት የሲኖዶሱ የትኩረት አቅጣጫዎችን በተመለከተ ጉባኤው አቅጣጫዎችን አስቀምጧል። በዘጠነኛውም ጉባኤ በሚስዮናዊነት ወደሌላ አገር ለመኔድ ለተዘጋጀው ወጣት ቶለሳ ተስፋዬ የሚስዮን አገልግሎት ጥሪ የስምሪት ሥነ ሥርዓት ተካሂዷል። ቀጥሎም ለመጪ አራት ዓመታት ሲኖዶሱን የሚመሩ መሪዎችን ጉባዬው የመረጠ ሲሆን፣ በዚሁ መሰረት፦ 1. ቄስ ደስታ ሆራ የሲኖዶሱ ፕሬዚዳንት 2. ቄስ ገናሌ ሆራ የሲኖዶሱ ምክትል ፕሬዚዳንት እና 3. አቶ ኡዴሳ ኪዮላ አቃቤ ንዋይ በመሆን ሲኖዶሱን ለቀጣይ አራት አመታት እንዲመሩ ተመርጠዋል። የቤተ ክርስቲያኒቱ ፕሬዚዳንት ቄስ ዶ/ር ዮናስ ይገዙ በጉባኤው በመገኘት አዳዲስ የተመረጡ መሪዎችን ቃለ መሃላ ያስገቡ ሲሆን የአገልግሎት ጊዜያቸውን የጨረሱ መሪዎችን በታላቅ ምስጋና አሰናብተዋል። ጉባኤውንም ለመካፈል የቤተ ክርስቲያኒቱ የልማት እና መሃበራዊ አገልግሎት ኮምሽነር ዶ/ር አበያ ዋቅወያን ጨምሮ ጥሪ የተደረገላቸው እንዶች እና የአጎራባች ሲኖዶስ መሪዎች በቡሌ ሆራ ከተማ ተገኝተዋል። ለተመረጡትም አዳዲስ የሲኖዶሱ መሪዎች የአገልግሎት ስኬት ቤተ ክርስቲያን ትጸልያለች። - - - - - - - South Ethiopia Synod (SES) held its 9th convention from February 21-22, 2016, in west Guji Zone, Bule Hora city. * * * * * * * In the convention, reports from the past four years on mission, believer’s retention, and financial flows were presented. Following that, participants of the convention discussed the reports. After a productive consultation, the assembly has also placed the synod’s focus areas for the coming four years. For the young missionary Tolesa Tesfaye, who is prepared to go abroad for missional commitment from the SES, installation and send-off program was held. Following that, the assembly elected its leaders accordingly; 1. Rev. Dest Hora as president, 2. Rev. Genale Hora as V. president and 3. Mr. Udessa Kiyola as treasurer to lead the synod for the coming four years. Attending the assembly, president of the church, Rev. Dr. Yonas Yigezu led the elected leader in making an oath to their commitment to the ministry. With great appreciation, the president also send away leaders who have finished their terms. To participate in the assembly EECMY-DAAS Commissioner Dr. Abeya Wakweya invited guests, neighboring synod presidents, and came to the Bule Hora city. The church prays for the newly elected leader ministry fruitfulness.
