የመካነ ኢየሱስ ፕሬዚደንት ባቀረቡት የመክፈቻ ንግግር ላይ ሰፊ ውይይት ተደረገ * * * * በ19ኛው የካውንስሉ ስብሰባ ላይ የቤተ ክርስቲያኒቱ ፕሬዚዳን ቄስ ዶ/ር ዮናስ ይገዙ 39 ነጥቦችን የያዘ እና ዝርዝር ጉዳዮችን ያካተተ ሰፊ የመክፈቻ ንግግር ለካውንስሉ ካቀረቡ በኋላ ጉቢያተኞች መክረውበት ውሳኔ በሚያስፈልጋቸው ጉዳዮች ላይ ውሳኔ አሳልፈዋል። ፕሬዚዳንቱ ካነሷቸው አበይት ጉዳዮች መሃከል የቤተ ክርስቲያኒቱ ኢኩሜኒካል ግንኙነቶች፣ የመካነ ኢየሱስ የቴሌቪዥን አገልግሎት፣ የወንጌል ተልዕኮና ቲኦሎጂ ጉዳዮች፣ ወቅታዊና ሃገራዊ ጉዳዮች፣ የቤተ ክርስቲያኒቱ 70ኛ አመት ክብረ በዓል፣ የቤተ ክርስቲያኒቱ የጡረታ ቦርድ ይገኙበታል። - - - - - - Detail discussions were held based on the EECMY president keynote speech * * * * At the 19th meeting of the council, the president of the church, Reverend Dr. Yonas Yigzu conveyed keynote speech containing 39 points and detailed issues to the council. Following that, the assembly advised and passed decisions over presented agendas. Among major issues raised by the president, the church ecumenical relation, Mekane Yesus Television service, mission & theology of the church, the church’s 70 year anniversary, and pension board of the church are few topics among many.

የመካነ ኢየሱስ ሴሚናሪ ከሪዲመር ሉተራዊት ቸርች ጋር በመተባበር ያስገነባው እና 102 ተማሪዎችን ማስተናገድ የሚች ለው ዘመናዊ ዶርሚታሪ የቤተክርስቲያኒቱ መሪዎች እና የ19ኛው ካውንስል ተሰብሳቢዎች በተገኙበት አስመርቋል። - - - - - - Mekane Yesus Seminary inaugurated modern student dormitory build in partnership with Redeemer Lutheran Church. The dormitory, build to contain 102 seminarians was inaugurated in the presence of church leaders and 19th council participants.

Among the plan of EGBCC, one is to helping member churches to double their members in the following five years, said the president. At the same time, the General Secretary of the All Africa Conference of Churches (AACC), Reverend Dr. Phidon Monbeki, Norwegian Mission Society, Danish Lutheran Mission, Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Mission and other invited guests and partner organizations gave greetings.
