5	+2 Sydro Relaunches With Focus on Ethiopia’s Creator Economy Ethiopian software company Infra Tech Software Service officially launched Sydro, its video-first social media platform, on Sunday, August 30, at the Ethiopian Skylight Hotel in Addis Ababa. The event brought together company executives, content creators and technology leaders. Infra Tech says Sydro has more than 500,000 registered users. The launch follows an earlier rollout in February 2026, when users reported sign-up and technical problems. Subsequent updates added features including messaging, gifting and live streaming. Sydro is now focusing on creator monetization, with telebirr and Chapa integration allowing users to tip and send virtual gifts, including support from Ethiopians abroad.
