When the correct answer is treaded as only B, it only focuses on one realm only that of pronouncing of judgments as then judge has the supreme authority, which has to be respected by the lawyer. Meaning communication is firm here.
However, during regular court proceedings, the lawyers and judges communicate in many different ways - cross questioning during arguments stage, lawyers being amicus curiae for court - they assist judges : lawyers act in an open ended interaction instead of purely firm.
