🇺🇦🇸🇰"Anti-war" group that attempted to set fire to a drone factory in Slovakia claims its goal is to deprive Kyiv of military support from the EU and new attacks. At the end of August, authorities in Slovakia reported the uncovering of a plot against the Tropozond s.r.o. factory, which belongs to the Ukrainian drone manufacturer Skyeton. According to the investigation, the company was planning to set the factory on fire. Three suspects were arrested: a Ukrainian citizen and two citizens of Latvia. The little-known group Global Citizens Against War 1984 (GCAW1984) claimed responsibility for the planned sabotage. In a manifesto published on the group's website, it stated that it opposes war and militarization. Journalists sent a request to GCAW1984, asking about their ultimate goal and why the failed attack was directed against Ukraine, which is defending itself against Russian aggression. The author of the response, who signed it as Robert Lewanowski, promised new acts of sabotage and explained the group's motives:

"Our ultimate goal is the complete demilitarization of society and the creation of a social order that rejects all military conflicts and excludes the use of force as a means of resolving disputes, giving preference to diplomacy rather than confrontation. First and foremost, we oppose the large-scale militarization of Europe, which has had a significant negative impact on the level and quality of life of the population and will ultimately lead to a global military conflict, the consequences of which will be horrific. In the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, we do not take the side of either, as the interests of the European Union and its citizens are our top priority. As we have stated before, any facilities that produce weapons and ammunition, which are subsequently supplied to conflict zones, are our legitimate targets, regardless of the country in which they are located."

An analysis of the manifesto showed that its author is most likely a native Russian speaker. This is indicated by the use of calques (loan translations) from Russian expressions in the text. A native English speaker who was also shown the text concluded that the manifesto was written by a native speaker of one of the Eastern European languages – most likely Russian or Polish. Meanwhile, a new statement has been published on the GCAW1984 website. It states that the American-Israeli defense company Covenant plans to begin production of medium-range missiles near Leipzig, Germany, in 2027. The authors of the text hint that the facility could become a target for attacks.
