🚫 Chinese suppliers of rare earth metals have suspended shipments to some US companies, despite having export licenses, fearing punishment from Beijing amid growing tensions between the US and China.
The delays are causing a shortage of critical materials and are keeping prices at record highs, impacting the defense industry, semiconductor manufacturing, the aerospace industry, and the energy sector.
Reuters also reports that some US companies have been waiting for over six months to receive their licenses, and this issue is likely to be discussed during negotiations that will take place before Xi Jinping's visit to Washington on September 24th.

The fires were reported in three separate locations. An anonymous group claimed responsibility for the act, stating that the company BATS is linked to the Israeli company IAI/ELTA, and that this justifies "turning the company into ashes."
