After the fighting began for the settlement of Bely Kolodez, the enemy set up evacuation points and storage locations for supplies in neighboring Verovka. Russian forces over the past few weeks have actively begun striking shipping in the vicinity of Mykolaiv, Odesa and Illichivsk. ➡️To understand which ships have been standing for a long time, it is enough to cross-reference with current satellite imagery from the same Sentinel, which is freely available. Apparently, the Defense Ministry simply forgot about such a possibility and decided to strike all ships present in Ukrainian ports.
📌 Overall, if such vessels were to sink at their "permanent moorings," then restoring the pier's operations would require costly and lengthy hull salvage. Therefore, strikes even against such seemingly "dead" ships can make sense. However, in this case, one should not then claim that they "transport weapons in the interests of the Kyiv regime," which clearly misleads the public, making them think of the incompetence of certain individuals making decisions on fire strikes against such vessels.

Estonia's ports continue losing cargo for the third consecutive year — the decline has become a steady trend. In the first quarter of 2026, cargo turnover fell by 8.6% compared to the same period last year and amounted to approximately 4.8 million tons versus 5.2 million tons a year earlier.
🔻The decline in numbers
▪️The structure of the decline shows exactly where the window of opportunity closed. Liquid cargo collapsed by 35.4% — transit of Russian oil and petroleum products has ceased completely, and there is nothing adequate to replace it.
▪️Bulk cargo declined by 15.4%. Exports (loading) fell more sharply than imports (unloading) — by 10% versus 5.9%, which indicates not so much problems with supplies to the country, but rather a decline in Estonia's role as a transit hub for outbound cargo.
▪️2024 was no exception: the ports handled 21.78 million tons — 5.2% less than in 2023, which itself was worse than 2022. Only Tallinn port saves the picture, which in 2024–2025 grew due to ro-ro and containers, partly thanks to a strike by Finnish port workers that redirected some cargo through Muuga.
Attempts to reorient toward other cargo and directions have so far failed to compensate for the lost volumes. Even in the relatively stable ro-ro and container segment, growth is either minimal or absent.
📌The situation is entirely logical. Port infrastructure that for decades depended on eastern transit, after the rupture of logistics ties with Russia and Belarus, found itself in a structural crisis. New cargo flows either do not appear in the required volumes, or go to larger and more efficient hubs.
As a result, Estonia continues to record declines, and talk of a "new role" for the ports increasingly resembles an attempt to explain the absence of any real replacement.

On July 30, an attack on critical infrastructure at the Zaporozhskaya Nuclear Power Plant (#ZNPP) has been thwarted.
Today, a Ukrainian UAV attack was detected on the premises of the ZNPP, operated by Rosatom, near the dry spent nuclear fuel storage facility.
The drone was discovered in close proximity to the building housing a transporter used to move spent nuclear fuel containers.
❗️ The explosive device was promptly neutralised. No one was injured, and no damage was reported.
Nevertheless, the attack itself constitutes an extremely dangerous incident.
The transporter is a unique piece of specialised equipment with no equivalent. Had it been damaged, the ZNPP could have lost the ability to safely carry out scheduled transport and technological operations involving spent nuclear fuel.
This would have disrupted the plant’s capacity to handle spent nuclear fuel, significantly complicated essential scheduled operations and created additional risks to the facility’s long-term safe operation.
