I'd say differences are various and they are obvious, especially to professional photographers. There is always an element of a human being in real photos, I mean, any feelings in the photo like smile, crying, or happiness are all natural. Having said that, the difference might be subtle for regular person, given the improved accuracy of AI. Those AI generated photos are really hard to distinguish from real ones.
