Two Seattle Police officers arrived and kept him alive until paramedics came. He was rushed into emergency surgery, placed on life support in the Trauma ICU, and then underwent another major operation to reconnect his intestines, which was successful. Lanske has woken up and is responding in the hospital. His sister said Lanske is dealing with survivor’s guilt after learning his friend was killed in the attempted robbery.
