Shaykh Ibn ʿUthaymīn رحمه الله said:
“A person should be mindful of people's hearts. If someone's heart is broken, then let him strive to mend it in whatever way he can, for there is great virtue in this. A person should treat people as he himself would love to be treated.”
[Fatḥ Dhī al-Jalāl wa-l-Ikrām, 11/333]

Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said:
“The Salaf used to call the singing man effeminate (i.e feminine, womanly).”
[Al-Istiqāmah 1/277]
“Clapping is for women, and tasbeeh is for men. Because singing, beating the duff and clapping are things that women do, the salaf used to call a man who did those things effeminate, and they called men who sang effeminate, and this is well known among their sayings.”
[Shaykh al-Islam رحمه الله | Majmoo‘ al-Fataawa (11/565, 566)]
The Beautiful Bond of Marriage 💍Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said: “This bond between the husband and wife is among the most beloved of affairs to Allah and His Messenger ﷺ, so it is among the most hated of affairs to the enemy of Allah (Shaytān).” [Rawdat al-Muhibbīn]
Ibn al-Jawzī رحمه الله said:
“If you choose a friend and get to know him well, do not tell him everything you have. Rather, nurture the friendship with kindness, just as you tend to a tree; when its roots are good, its fruit becomes good through continued care. Yet remain cautious with him, for circumstances can change.”
[Ṣayd al-Khāṭir]
Yaḥyā ibn Muʿādh رحمه الله said:
“The reality of love is that kindness does not increase it, nor does harshness decrease it.”
[Muḥāḍarāt al-Udabāʾ, 2/411]
Ibn al-Jawzī رحمه الله said:
“If a friend becomes distant and no longer treats you as a true friend, do not necessarily cut him off. Instead, lower the level of your relationship with him. If he is no longer suitable as a close friend, simply keep him as an acquaintance and treat him accordingly.”
[Sayd al-Khātir]
Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said:
“Whoever breaks someone’s heart, is obligated to heal that person’s heart.”[Majmūʿ al-Fatāwā 18/384] Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله mentioned the statement: “Whoever breaks a heart must mend it.” He رحمه الله explained that this is a matter of good conduct, while clarifying that this wording is not known from the Prophet ﷺ. So this should not be presented as a Prophetic hadith. Rather, it conveys a principle of good character: if a person causes harm to another person's heart, he should strive to rectify that harm and make amends.
Imām Ibn Rajab رحمه الله said:
The happy one is he who takes a righteous wife who will aid him in his religion.[Rasā'il Ibn Rajab 2/421]
Ibn Hazm رحمه الله said:
“True passionate love, once firmly rooted in the soul, does not perish except with death.”
[Ṭawq al-Ḥamāmah]
Imam al-Shāfi'i رحمه الله said:
“I love among my brothers the one who overlooks my shortcomings.”
[Dīwān al-Shāfiʿī]

“A woman who gets married to a man who takes care of her, maintains her, protects her, and she gives birth to righteous children, even if she is the fourth wife, is better than her remaining a widow or unmarried.”[المنتقى من فتاوى الشيخ صالح الفوزان، ٣/١٦٨]

How can someone who is created from a drop of sperm and ends up as a rotting corpse and between these two stages, carries feces within himself, be arrogant (prideful)?
[The Garden of the Wise and the Meadow of the Virtuous, pg. 37]
