| 11 | Environmental sustainability:
🥇Without a doubt, the construction of vertical cities can mitigate environmental degradation and promote long-term sustainability. If governments focus on high-rise buildings and skyscrapers across urban areas, they can preserve larger areas of land for green spaces such as community parks, gardens, and farms. As a result, more oxygen can be released into the atmosphere, which may improve air quality and help slow the greenhouse effect. In a world where environmental problems such as air pollution and climate change have spiraled out of control due primarily to rising greenhouse gases and harmful pollutants, investing in tall urban buildings can significantly reduce carbon footprints and help break the vicious cycle of ecological destruction.
🥈Without a doubt, the expansion of public transport helps mitigate environmental damage and promote long-term sustainability. Unlike private vehicles and airplanes, which release substantial amounts of carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxides per passenger, public transportation systems such as buses and trains reduce both fossil fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. As a result, the greenhouse effect can be slowed and air quality is likely to improve, benefitting both public health and biodiversity. At a time when environmental challenges such as pollution and climate change have intensified due primarily to rising greenhouse gases and harmful pollutants, the transition to efficient and reliable public transport networks can significantly reduce carbon footprints and help break the vicious cycle of ecological destruction.
🥉Without a doubt, the rise of tourism exacerbates environmental degradation and undermines long-term sustainability. When tourists flock to popular destinations, they not only rely heavily on unsustainable modes of transportation such as airplanes and cruise ships, but also generate substantial amounts of litter and plastic waste. Consequently, greater quantities of greenhouse gas emissions and harmful pollutants are released into the atmosphere, potentially intensifying the greenhouse effect and worsening air quality, which ultimately harms both public health and biodiversity. In addition, the construction of hotels, resorts, and entertainment facilities for tourists also encroaches upon green spaces and natural habitats, further disrupting ecosystems and threatening endangered species. This process contributes to soil erosion, habitat fragmentation, and biodiversity loss. thereby damaging ecological balance and environmental well-being.

| 14 | Many companies are spending a lot of money on their marketing campaigns. Do the advantages of these campaigns outweigh the disadvantages?
In today’s highly competitive market landscape, many businesses invest substantial amounts of money in creating and maintaining their advertising campaigns. Although this trend raises legitimate concerns about financial management, I believe that its advantages ultimately outweigh the drawbacks.
Without a doubt, heavy spending on advertising can threaten a company's financial sustainability. If businesses rely heavily on promotional campaigns to consolidate or expand their market share, they must cover substantial expenses such as hiring marketing professionals, conducting market research, and running large-scale advertisements. These costs can strain their budgets and quickly deplete their resources, making it difficult to fulfill operational responsibilities and invest in long-term plans. For example, in Uzbekistan, many start-ups and small brands face financial difficulties and even file for bankruptcy due to irresponsible financial decisions such as overly expensive advertising strategies.
However, in my view, advertising plays a crucial role in helping businesses survive and thrive in a competitive environment. When implemented effectively, marketing campaigns enable companies to reach a wider audience and communicate their unique selling propositions, leading to increased sales and broader business operations. A counterargument to this view is that advertising has become less effective and persuasive in modern times. Although this claim appears convincing at first glance, in reality, digital tools such as social media ads and podcast sponsorships now offer businesses unique opportunities to connect with their target demographics and differentiate themselves from competitors, thereby strengthening brand recognition and customer loyalty.
In conclusion, although advertising can impose short-term financial pressure on businesses, I firmly believe that its long-term benefits, particularly in boosting revenue and enhancing brand awareness, make it a worthwhile investment.

I have scored 8.5 or 9.0 in Writing Task 2 across my last 10 official IELTS exams. Even more interestingly, my overall Writing score has been 8.0 or 8.5 in each of my last 20 IELTS exams. Given my level of expertise, if you genuinely learn and internalize my methods ( Domino-effect approach, ripple-effect approach, solution-based approach, modern relevance approach, temporal comparison approach and ect ) for IELTS Writing, a Band 8.0 or higher should not be out of reach.

| 17 | Around the world, people are now living longer than ever before in the past. Do the advantages of possessing an ageing population outweigh the disadvantages?
In an era marked by medical advancements and healthy lifestyles, living longer than ever before has become more the rule than the exception, especially in advanced countries. While this trend presents certain economic challenges for governments, I believe that it offers greater benefits, particularly in terms of fostering intergenerational learning.
From a pessimistic perspective, an ageing population raises serious concerns about government capabilities. If countries experience a substantial rise in their older demographics, they have to pay more pensions, receive lower taxes, and build more hospitals and retirement facilities, thereby straining their budgets and depleting their resources. Consequently, they might accumulate more debt and struggle to fund essential sectors like education and technology, which ultimately undermines their financial freedom and overall national prosperity. Without an older population, governments would dedicate all of their funds and resources to developing important fields and addressing urgent problems, which could promote economic and societal stability,
However, in my view, the advantages of possessing an ageing population deserve greater consideration. When people get older, they tend to gather invaluable experiences, broaden their horizons, and evolve their perspectives, thus becoming more resourceful, wise, and adept at critical-thinking. As a result, they can pass on great insights, ideas, and principles to younger generations to help them draw rational conclusions, make smart decisions, and solve complex problems, which creates a mutually-beneficial outcome for both individuals and communities. If a society lacks senior citizens to follow, younger individuals are more likely to make mistakes and miss opportunities due to immaturity and inexperience, which in turn weakens social cohesion and overall development.
In conclusion, although an ageing population puts pressure on government budgets and capabilities, I contend that it does more good than harm, especially by facilitating the transfer of knowledge and critical skills in society.

| 20 | The line graph compares five different leisure activities in terms of their popularity among US senior citizens between 1980 and 2010. Units are measured in percentages.
Although there were minor disparities, overall, all pastimes rose in popularity over time, with the exception of theatre, which generally declined but saw a recovery towards the end of the period. Of particular interest is hiking participation, which experienced substantial growth, overtaking TV watching to become the most popular hobby for the elderly in the US.
The favourite pursuits of senior Americans underwent significant shifts over the three decades in question. In 1980, a remarkable 60% of older people watched television in their free time. After an initial increase to a high of 70% in 2000, this figure then experienced a slight dip, concluding the period at about 65% in 2010. Theatre attendance, on the other hand, followed a contrasting trajectory. Although it decreased from 50% to 30% in the first two decades, it then recovered to approximately 45% by the close of the period. Reading habits changed quite radically during this period. Starting at 30% in 1980, the proportion of senior reading enthusiasts went up to 40% in 1990 followed by a sudden decline to 20% later. From the 2000s onwards, however, a rebound occurred, surpassing theatre attendance and reaching a peak of 60% at the end.
The popularity of both hiking and internet surfing grew dramatically. Hiking participation, initially at a mere 20%, saw a consistent rise, exceeding all previous levels and peaking at an impressive 80% in 2010. A similar pattern played out when it comes to internet surfing. While it began at just 5% in the first year, it climbed to roughly 15% by 2000 before experiencing a sharp rise to overtake theatre attendance and end the period at 50%.
