Imagine two students.
Student A scores 95 in English and 75 in Maths.
Student B scores 95 in Maths and 75 in English.
Now imagine Student A feels disappointed because he compared only his Maths marks. Student B feels disappointed because he compared only his English marks.
In reality, both scored 170 marks out of 200.
The problem wasn't their performance. *The problem was what they chose to compare*.
The same thing happens in investing.
• A friend earns 30% in a stock.
• Another makes money in an IPO.
• Someone else talks about a multibagger. Many times these are fake.
Suddenly, we feel our own investments aren't good enough.
But what we don't see is their financial goals, risk appetite, investment horizon, or the sleepless nights they may have endured.
Comparing returns without comparing goals is like comparing English marks with someone else's Maths marks.
The real question should not be…
"Did someone earn more than me?"
It's:
"Am I moving closer to my own financial goals?"
In investing, success is not about beating someone else's returns.
It's about achieving your own financial goals with asset allocation as per our risk appetite.
🎯 Wealth is created by discipline, not predictions. Don't just invest. Invest with a purpose.

When you are young and starting out, invest in more aggressive investments. As you get closer to retirement, move investments into more conservative investments to protect your savings until you need them.

Over the past year, South Korea's KOSPI Index delivered around 90% returns.
But today, it corrected by more than 10% in a single session.
What changed?
A large part of the rally was driven by AI and technology-related stocks. As bubble is slowly going off, these markets witnessed a sharp correction.
Now compare this with India.
Despite global volatility, Nifty has remained relatively stable. One of the key reasons is diversification.
Unlike some markets that are heavily concentrated in a single sector:
- South Korea: ~75% weight in Technology
- Taiwan: ~88% weight in Technology
India's market is spread across Financials, IT, Healthcare, Consumer, , Energy, Industrials, Materials, staples and many other sectors. No single sector dominates the market too much.
This diversification may not have participated in rally, but it is reducing concentration risk and provide greater resilience during market corrections. Sometimes, steady and diversified growth is better than chasing the hottest trend.
One key reason I am constructive on Indian equities over the next few years is improving corporate earnings.
Compared to FY25, PAT (Profit After Tax) growth has strengthened across all major market segments in FY26.
Corporate earnings have strengthened significantly in FY26 compared to FY25.
📈 Nifty 100: 2.5% → 9.9%
📈 Nifty 500: 4.7% → 13.1%
📈 Nifty Midcap 150: 17.3% → 27.2%
📈 Nifty Smallcap 250: 2.7% → 17.0%
Now Markets are flat to negative in last 2 years, if earnings has increased so PE ratio has decreased making equity attractive.
Over the long term, stock prices tend to follow earnings growth. When companies earn more, they have greater potential to create value for shareholders.
