Three Types of Faith Thank you, Paula, for posting this encouraging segment. Today is Testimony Tuesday over at @CallToBattle -one of my favorites in life!

Sorry (not sorry) friends. I have to use something sweet and fall'ish for the cover —even though it's 2 million degrees outside. It feels like life has been a little taxing the last few days. Chuckle for a little bit 😊

What path is the Lord trying to lead us down? Do we reject it if it looks scary to us? What would happen if we trusted Him to lead us through? Have you noticed that those who walked closest with the Lord in the Bible experienced extraordinary things? Daniel had an angel come speak with him and tell him things to come, David faced Goliath and watched him fall, Steven saw the heavens opened and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, Peter walked on water to Jesus, Elijah was taken up into heaven in a chariot... All these people in the Bible had something in common: they dared to trust God and obey His command, even if it made no earthly sense. My friends, God does not fit into our "box." If we want a life where the limitations are removed, we must accept and embrace the knowledge that we serve a limitless God. He can do anything. He is a great God, and He wants to take us to higher heights in Him! Our part is to put our trust in Him, and let go of our own understanding. I'll say it again: we must let go of our own understanding, and embrace His wisdom. Let's pray: Father God, we acknowledge that You are omnipotent! We acknowledge that You love us, and that the plans You have for us are to prosper us and not to harm us. Your plans for us are to give us hope and a future. Help us to let go of our own understanding. Help us to let go of the limits we have placed on our own lives. Help us to fully embrace surrender to You. Oh the heights You want to take us to! Don't leave us in our comfort zone.  Help us to shake off the complacency in our lives. Make us dissatisfied with the status quo. Give us the grace to live an extraordinary life in You. So MANY things happening.. REALLY good things!! really bad things. What should I do? Well it’s actually simple. First. Pray without ceasing. Second. Tell the Truth. Everywhere (without offense to the best of your ability). Third. Seek wholesomeness truth, beauty and honor. And in all things acknowledge the author of your wellness.. I have friends that have been preppers my whole life, my whole adult life anyway it really rose to prominence with the Y2K turn-of-the-century computer glitch fiasco.. Then 911 Then the 2008 banking collapse/mortgage meltdown Then the absolute shit show of Barry Obama Then the strange shift that took place in 2016 on the stage of Trump‘s inauguration. Then four years of attack Then four years of deception And now, where are we? I hope there are really big things taking place behind the scenes designed to restore Republican governance in the United States.. (I see some evidence). It starts with an army of one. Me… You… Don’t be quiet.. Tell everyone you know what you believe and why you believe it.. To the best of your ability don’t be afraid.. put on the whole armor of God and let him be your protection.. Read your Bible and fellowship with other Christians to strengthen yourself.. And don’t worry… It’s not the military that will save us. (they need our prayers ) It’s God. He will not be mocked. Do I believe what I just said. I do. Do I falter in that belief? I do. Do I falter in my trust of God? I do not. One of my favorite stories in the Bible is Shadrach Meshach and Abendigo.

“I have to admit, I always wondered what this part of Psalm 23 meant. I thought “He anoints my head with oil” was figurative language for God keeping the Psalmist healthy. I never knew this parallel. Anoint my head with oil “Sheep can get their head caught in briers and die trying to get untangled. There are horrid little flies that like to torment sheep by laying eggs in their nostrils which turn into worms and drive the sheep to beat their head against a rock, sometimes to death. Their ears and eyes are also susceptible to tormenting insects. So the shepherd anoints their whole head with oil. Then there is peace. That oil forms a barrier of protection against the evil that tries to destroy the sheep. Do you have times of mental torment? Do the worrisome thoughts invade your mind over and over? Do you beat your head against a wall trying to stop them? Have you ever asked God to anoint your head with oil? He has an endless supply! His oil protects and makes it possible for you to fix your heart, mind, and eyes on Him today and always! There is peace in the valley! Here is some more information about the inlet plug. My oldest twin modeled for it 😁

Hi Friends! If you're still working on preps here's something for your consideration. About a year ago Felix installed an AC power inlet port plug on the kitchen/garage wall. This allows him to run the generator cord through this contraption so we do not require the house door to our garage to be cracked open. (The generator stays outdoors and the main door and house door used to be cracked open a bit.) Nifty thing and he likes it 🙂

Yes, the 10 year-old birthday girl picked out what to share for today. I was surprised at first that she only wanted animal videos. But, the more I watched her reactions to the animals the more I appreciated God. He designed some of the most magnificent things on earth when He made His winged, furry, and scaly creations. He truly gifted us something priceless. A lot of videos, but well worth the viewing. Cherish Your beautiful Creator!

Happy Birthday Comedy Wednesday! This week's edition is special because the birthday girl picked out all the memes 😃 Surprise!!!!

As we decorated the home and got ready for her birthday over the last few days, I felt light and cheery. Today? I find that I am a little quiet and sad as we watch our baby hit a milestone. Maybe it's leftover from a few months ago when our third child turned 13, the twins turned 18 and graduated high school... It's been a lot of emotions. But, of course, it's all good! We are so very, very blessed and my cup runneth over. So I will do my best to make something ordinary extraordinary for those I love. And on that note, there will be a surprise for Comedy Wednesday 😃 It's a beautiful day. Not just because it's a birthday, but because He's in it.

👆🏼 I don't think it's dramatic. Fall starts September 1st around our home 😃 Of course, it's decorated in various shades of pink at the moment as our littlest turns 10 tomorrow. The loveliest exception to getting ready for autumn if you ask me 🥰
