| 6 | “ All week, I have been feeling the enormous burden, sorrow, despair and unimaginable trauma coming up to the surface, something that takes a great toll on me, and I could not control it because I'm also dealing with issues of renewing both my visa and my insurance while I am also trying to locate a new long term apartment which is much needed.
While all these practical matters are happening, my soul cries out from my painful memories of the October 7th onslaught, genocide and war crimes against the Jewish Nation - so it's altogether pretty overwhelming, and I was thinking about making a video to share on October 7th, but the tears would not stop running so I was forced to give up on that idea.
It’s been three years since that horrific October 7, 2023 onslaught and massacre against Israel, we recall it as the darkest day since the Holocaust and it's still difficult to talk about the unimaginable horrors of torture, mutilations and decapitations of women, men, children and babies, along with the grotesque rapes.
The sexual violence of October 7th cannot be erased. Rape was a weapon of Hamas; women and men were raped, sexually assaulted and mutilated. The rapes were so violent that women’s pelvises were broken.
We endear to our hearts the 1200 faces and memories of family, friends, soldiers, neighbors and loved ones, with the images of how Hamas savagely murdered, mutilated, burnt, decapitated and desecrated their bodies.
Neither will we forget Hamas and all of the terrorists that participated as accomplices in this October 7th bloodbath. Justice will never cease to be measured out against them.
Gaza would ultimately be exposed as the biggest terror nest in the world, with tunnels everywhere — with tunnels shaft in basically every other house of their ”innocent civilians” and almost all of the doctors, journalists and UN workers were found to be terrorists, and supposedly ”respectable people” in society were proven to be just as evil and corrupt as the Hamas terrorists.
We were traumatized by knowing the precious hostages were going through horrific abuse daily, and starvation by terrorists and also by the “innocent civilians” in Gaza, and we refuse to forget the unspeakable horrors suffered by the hostages, and their families.
I recall the horrific scenes in Gaza when our precious hostages were paraded through hundreds of terrorists in despicable “hostages release ceremonies,“ keeping the entire nation, including myself in a state of unspeakable trauma.
I was watching it live on television, while reporting to the whole word, it was sickening and brutal while tears of relief were running, knowing that they were finally coming home.
As we celebrated the "release" of these innocent hostages, I also felt the desperation and anger of injustice chill my heart with the Israeli government being compelled to release thousands of cold-blooded terrorists who had previously murdered hundreds of Israelis in horrific terror attacks.”

| 12 | President Isaac Herzog sent a letter to Captain Smit Machchhar expressing the deep gratitude of the State of Israel for his exceptional courage and determination in steering the flydubai aircraft to safety and averting catastrophe for the passengers on board the flight on September 30, 2026.
In his letter, President Herzog wished Captain Machchhar a full and speedy recovery and invited him to visit Jerusalem once he has regained his strength. Captain Machchhar received the President's letter while recoring in hospital.
During a ceremony earlier this week to recognize the heroism of six Israeli citizens on board the flight and award them with the Presidential Award for Civilian Heroism, President Herzog announced his intention to present Captain Machchhar with the Presidential Award for Civilian Heroism once he recovers from his injuries.
In the letter, President Herzog praised Captain Machchhar’s composure in the face of grave danger: “Your ability to find the strength to rise above the pain, to combat the immediate threat to your life, and to operate sound judgment demonstrates the strength of your character and the great valor you possess.”
President Herzog also placed the Captain’s actions within the historic bond between India and Israel, recalling the Indian troops who fought in the Holy Land more than a century ago: “Your heroics place you in the distinguished ranks of Indian troops, who risked their lives over 100 years ago to liberate cities in the Holy Land, forever becoming a part of Israel’s history.
You too, Captain Machchhar, will henceforth be a treasured part of our people’s history, further amplifying the warmth and connection between the Republic of India and the State of Israel.”
Concluding the letter, President Herzog wrote: “As you slowly begin your journey towards healing, I know that you are in the very best hands of our dear friends and partners in the United Arab Emirates.
We all share heartfelt prayers for your full and speedy recovery, and I look forward, once you have regained strength, to welcoming you to Jerusalem and expressing the appreciation and the love of our grateful nation.”
