🚨 Maya Protocol shuts down network after $1.7 million hack
The hacker exploited a transaction processing flaw to obtain nearly 49 million unsecured CACAOs and siphon off assets from the protocol's reserves. He converted most of the “production” into 20 BTC.
Amid the attack, CACAO immediately collapsed by almost 89%. The vulnerability went unnoticed by auditors, AI checks, and the community for several years.
