🔺Perivalvular leak of a mechanical mitral prosthesis at the 1 o’clock position; 3D vena contracta area (VCA) measured with multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) was 0.38 cm2.
🔺A 60-year-old female underwent a routine health check-up. TTE incidentally revealed a left atrial mass. TEE (2D & 3D) demonstrated a broad-based mass attached to the fossa ovalis region of the lAS with limited mobility, most consistent with a left atrial myxoma.

Echocardiographic Views and Hallmarks
🔺Libman-Sacks endocarditis (LSE) is a rare cardiac manifestation of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) characterized by sterile valvular vegetations that can induce valvular dysfunction and heart failure.
🔺This is young patient with poorly controlled SLE who presented with acute decompensated heart failure due to severe mitral regurgitation (MR) from LSE and concomitant constrictive pericarditis, ultimately requiring urgent surgical intervention.
